“A bit of world war one”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

The museum is dedicated to the memories of Ten. Francesco Baracca, born in Lugo, and italian national hero of aviation in world war I.
Very interesting the copy of his airplane, many original weapons, and other original things.
Few people knows that the symbol of Ferrari cars ("cavallino rampante") was given from the mother of Francesco Baracca to Mr. Enzo Ferrari in memory of the symbol painted on the sides of his airplane.

“Fabulous museum!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 October 2013

My husband and I loved the museum! It has an accoustiguide in English with very detailed, clear explanations!!!! The artifacts are excellent and interesting! A special exhibit in the lobby of the museum--a Formula 1 racing car once driven by Schumacher was a total surprise! There is a bi-plane, a jet, and an authentic GE engine! Baracca lived in this house so you can see his bedroom and artifacts relating to his life. There is a special exhibit on now until February 2014 of World War II artifacts! Don't miss it!!!
