The hotel is basically a castle, built centuries ago (obviously refurbished and rebuilt during the past hundreds of years), with an authentic atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and nice: we had a few requests which immediately solved.
If I have to mention weaknesses, they are the small wellness area (in a separate building, but too small even for 8-10 people) and the kitchen: do not order a half-board, prepaid, but rather go for a-la-carte diners/lunch. The half-board menu is basically a narrowed regular a-la-cart, with the same prices. From the price of the pre-paid menu you can choose much better meals. The meals ar of good standard but you wold expect more from a 4* hotel.
The location of the hotel is quite poor: it's on the countryside, without decent roads nearby. The castle itself is located on a bit underdeveloped area of Szirák.
