Very nice hotel on the beach but the very best thing about this hotel is the staff. Rooms are lovely and spacious. View is awesome. Off season but pool is large. Has is own beach. Food is great. Nice European breakfast. Dinner prix fix but have great options with fish beef and chicken. Not the same each night though. Antonino the waiter is so attentive and ensures your satisfaction with your choice. If you you don't like it get something different. Francesco works the bar and the restaurant. Awesome service by both. We extended our stay by two days because we were treated so well. Two American women traveling alone. Shuttle service to and from town since Meta is a bit away from downtown Sorrento. Definitely a bus ride away. A couple of euro. A train ride with 15 min walk to station and 2 euro. Highly reccend this property. I'm a hilton gold and marriott gold member.

Where to begin? Well first of all can I say that I don't work for the hotel or live in Meta!! We travelled to this hotel as a family of 3 with our 10 year old son. To say our room had a view was an under statement! We had the most fabulous room, spacious with the fabulous views. Everything about the hotel wants us to go back! The restaurant staff were fabulous & bar staff even better! (Woohoo guys!) Really they are all fab! The hotel is just outside Sorrento but the minibus into the town was perfect! We actually hired a car for the week but ended up using the bus more as parking was expensive! The food was good & plentiful although don't leave it too late in going for breakfast as it's not kept warm that well. The only thing we kept forgetting was going upstairs to reception! This did entertain us! There is no kids club & entertainment is generally someone on a keyboard at night but it's good to chill with a drink or 3! The wifi is free which was great for our son (& us) as are beach towels - save on the luggage. Can't wait to go back & we will do soon :0)

Once again we had a fantastic holiday. Staff, food, and everything else was brilliant. We met some lovely people called Caron and Gordon and enjoyed their company very much. We took the free shuttle bus into Sorrento and had a brilliant few hours and even saw a Italian wedding which was beautiful. The free shuttle bus is marvellous getting you to the station and Sorrento. We have tried to book for next year but unfortunately the prices are way above our budget £962 for one week is far too much plus the fact that no rooms were available. Its such a shame as it is our favourite hotel. We will have to save up. A hotel we will not forget.

My husband, 13 year old son and I spent a week here from 22nd October and had a fantastic time. We had spent our usual busy 3 weeks in Florida in August so were looking for something more relaxing and certainly found it here. Booked with Thomas Cook and flew on Easy Jet and I think we were at the hotel by 11.30am, it was a very smooth trip and everything ran on time. We had two rooms but the only down side was there were no interconnecting rooms for us so I ended up having to share with my son which was fine but not ideal. Would have probably been better for us to book a suite but that was actually a lot more expensive than 2 rooms. Anyway, didn't spoil our enjoyment.
We loved it from the minute we got there. The food was outstanding. Buffet for breakfast and lunch along with a la carte menu for dinner aswell as a buffet. I would be here too long naming all the dishes, there was just so much. My absolute favourite was the bruschetta which was served at lunch. My son ate everything which was very unusual, he loved the pizza at lunch and all the different desserts. This was only my second experience of All inclusive and had been a little worried there would be people drinking all day but definitely was not the case. We enjoyed just being able to have what we wanted. Recommend the champagne cocktails before dinner and my husband loved the peroni on draught. During the day the waited would come around the pool with drinks and ice creams. The service was impeccable.
We got the shuttle bus into Sorrento most days and it ran exactly to time and takes 15-20 minutes. Most of the time we were the only ones on there.
We also walked to the station a couple of times and got the train to Pompeii one day, far cheaper than booking a tour. Also got the train to Sorrento to pick up the Amalfi bus which stops right outside. $7 for an all day train and bus ticket which was excellent value. Only made it as far as Positano as the bus ride for me was just too terrifying. You are so high up but if not scared of heights like me I am sure its stunning. We ended up getting the ferry back which was also lovely.
The sun shone for 7 days and not a drop of rain. This probably meant we did less than we planned as it was just so nice at the hotel and on the beach.
I would absolutely return to this hotel and highly recommend. It is very quiet and only entertainment is a guy on a keyboard so definitely not for everyone but we loved it.

Room Tip: Definitely go for a sea view.

I previously gave this hotel 5 star and I stand by this, but was so disappointed after booking in August for a holiday in May to receive a letter from First Choice cancelling our reservation saying the hotel was overbooked. Looking at their website, the whole of May is fully booked. Last year we booked in May for August so I find this very perplexing. We chose this hotel as the amenities are perfect for our requirements. The alternative is lower standard, not on a beach and not overlooking the sea. Excuse is that the hotels booking system is at fault but I wonder, perhaps they had a large booking and decided to pass over the individual bookings to accommodate them. Some reassurance required here, please.

Room Tip: First time we have ever been let down

We stayed at this hotel last week and they have obviously upped their game in recent years. It's an Art Deco style old hotel but has been well cared for over it's years, quirky one may say! It's extremely clean and all the staff obviously take a great pride in it's appearance. The hotel äsks you upon leaving to mention any particular member of staff for their helpfulness, this is difficult to do as all the hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and always greet you with a smile, they are all without exception very hard working and are to be congratulated!

Residence all mixed during our week at the Alimuri and this without doubt was in some way due to the friendliness of the staff at the hotel, which encouraged this.

This hotel has a small beach frontage (pebble and dark sand) and the beach attendant is very prompt, beds were not a problem but this was probably due to the time of year and were free.

All meals were very good however flies are still a problem but people did not appear to be bothered! I enjoy my wine and this is part of the reason we visited Italy, however in this hotel it's only just palatable!!. All other drinks are branded and very good.

We choose this hotel for it's remoteness and proximity to the beach, peacefulness from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento and it fits the bill. A private coach is laid on for residents and is only a fifteen minute drive to the centre of Sorrento on a regular half hour service during the day (excluding lunch).

So sum up we wish to congratulate the management, all the staff at the Alimuri and thank them for a wonderful and memorable week in Italy.

Cheers,
David and Sylvia

Just spent one week at the alimuri and what a week. Great rooms, great food, great wine. All staff were friendly and always willing to help. The best part of the holiday was the lovely people we got to know in the hotel. As one of the waitress would say after every meal (enjoy) and we did. Thank you for a great holiday. Please don't take any notice of the Aussie.

Room Tip: Must have a sea view
