“Beauty and luxury”
Reviewed 16 July 2014

A timeless peace of heaven situated in the most beautiful landscape with picturesque views. The rooms were extremely beautiful, luxurious and artfully decorated. Windows shutters were extremely noisy because of the wind, and breakfast was not included. The restaurant opened too late for business travels but the dinner at the restaurant was superb.

We enjoyed excellent service from Nicky, Cesare & Bianca during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them & they went out of their way to make us feel at home. These girls are gems in the hospitality industry. There were only two concerns,
a. Security, gate is nor closed at night
b. Eating in the Crown restaurant was not convenient & the fact that we could not bill our meal to the hotel room put us off returning for a second visit.
But neither of the above marred our stay.

One of the very best hotels we've ever stayed at. Very clean, welcoming, super service. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. If there was a minor something that could be improved on, it might be the menu selection in the restaurant. The food was excellent there but perhaps a little more choice would be nice. If we are ever in Cape Town, this would be the place for us, no questions.

Stayed at Meernendal Boutique Hotel for a holiday/work getaway.
The hotel is comfortable, room was quite spacious with an enormous bathroom and all the facilities you need. The room was comfortable for both holiday-going and for work as I did both while staying there. The hotel has a lovely book & leather library style communal lounge with a very comfortable fire in the evenings at which drinks are served. The restaurant (a short walk away) is pleasant and food is very good however the restaurant and hotel don't seem to work together very well. We had to keep paying restaurant bills separately and sometimes in cash, as they would not allow it added to the hotel account. A little bit of a dampener as no-one really knew how this was suppose to work? But I assume it would be rectified by now. None the less a pleasant stay in a beautiful valley.

Room Tip: Some rooms border the outside balcony, if a few people sitting outside chatting bothers you then per...

Myself and my wife stayed on the 19th April 2014 as we attended a wedding close by and opted not to drive home late at night. I was very impressed by the staff during my stay and both Nikki and Chesray was always friendly and helpfull.

We also had breakfast and lunch the following day and had a great meal at the restaurant.

During the night i suffered from hay fever and was shocked to see the filth under the bed when i tried to retrieve some coins i dropped before our departure. I was clear that the cleaners has NEVER bothered to clean under the beds and then understood my hay fever attack.

The linen is of great quality and Wifi was always great. The rooms are elegantly furnished and the bed are also of outstanding quality.

I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there in future.
