During a two week holiday in Tenerife this was the only accommodation we had not booked before hand. The ended up in Santiago del Teide due to a change in plans and needed a place to sleep.
The price €124 was a little steep for us, especially given the place.
The staff was very pleasant, the location was nice, the whole infrastructure was nice. The general decoration was average, with a mixed leisure/ business look. Same applied to the rooms. A little impersonal.
It was quite cold in the rooms. The air conditioning did not really warm up the room. There was no heating in the all stone bathroom and the windows had such drafts that the cold wind was blowing through at full power. Needless to say it was freezing in the bathroom.
Breakfast was poor, specially the quality of the ingredients like hand and cheese and juice... Some home made cakes were actually good. At that price one expects a really nice breakfast, with local produce of excellent quality. Considering the area is a hikers paradise, one needs a good and healthy breakfast.

Again, nice staff but really poor value for money. Shame as the place has a great potential.
We were on a two week holiday and this was the place we liked the least, specially given the price.

We stayed for example, one week at the ITER Casas Bioclimaticas and for almost the same price a night, you can't compare! We also stayed at a Casa Rural in La Laguma (La Asomada del Gato) which as a fraction of the price was great.

Everything is as it should be in a top class hotel. This place only opened in October 2013 and should not be missed by any spoilt individualist traveller. What else do you want? A friendly welcome, beautiful, very modern, tasteful decorated rooms. Good size marble bath room with bath, toilet, bidet and nice toiletries. We were give an room with a huge terrace with sun beds and a view on the snowy Teide mountain. The two hard working owners have an unique mix of sense for style (and a eye for detail), humour, warmth and hospitality. We felt extremely pleasant in the wonderful surroundings they have created. Breakfast with fresh orange juice, nice muesli/yoghurt, different kind of meat/cheese/bread, good coffee & (Chinese) tea, eggs prepared as you wish and fresh fruit. Excellent free WIFI connection all over the place. Full restaurant service during nearly the whole day. Good, very affordable wine list. Many sunny terraces where both breakfast and drinks could be enjoyed. New gym with five different machines and weights. A spa with a sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi are under construction and will soon be ready. Horses are on the premises (horse riding available). Located next to the church of the village (but with a feeling of being in the country side). Close to many hiking opportunities (for example the valley of Masca) and nice touring opportunities to lovely cities in the north-west of the island. This place has everything for a most comfortable and enjoyable holiday away from the tourist crowds of Tenerife. Do not miss this wonderful place!

This is the place to be in Tenerife!!!

We spent one night in this hotel and it was amazing. The staff is very friendly. The Hotel is beautiful and cleand, you can see it is open since a short time. The rooms are lovely decorated and you can find everything you need. Key for the minibar is available at the reception. Unfortunately i was a little sick in the evenig, so i couldn't realy eat the dinner i've ordered at the restaurant. It tasted excellent and my boyfriend really liked his grilled polpo. As i had to leave my dinner on the table, i've ordered a cup of tee for the room - and got a full pot of hot water. Surprise when checked out: the tee was offered. The next morning we went horse-back-riding with Josué. The best experience of our stay. During a 2 hours ride, Josué brought us for a nice tour in the mountains, explained us all the plants we crossed on ou way, showed us the lava and talked about the history. We really enjoyed and for us is was the nicest experience in this Hotel. Actually everything was perfeckt, starting from the check-in until our check-out. And as i have worked for 12 years in hotel business, i know what i am talking about!
By the way, Santiago del Teide is a very nice little village. By car you can reach all the spots very quick and easy. Perfect is you want to avoid the tourists...

CASONA DEL PATIO, you dit a great job!!! Keep your standard and do not change anything. Thanks for everything, we will come back!
Special thanks to Josue and his horses.

This is a recreation! Peaceful place with excellent staff. The concern of the guests is in the air!
Their restaurant is excellent, winelist absolutely perfect.
Casona offers the best beds we slept in Teneriffa, and we travelled around the island for a month and weren't spoiled of any softness during nights!
Masca is nearby, you can hike during the day and come back to the hotel and be treated like a highness. If you like horsebackriding the offer tours. The breakfast om the patio is unforgetable!
Just book here! You'll like it!

This hotel reopened recently with new owners and I can't recommend it highly enough. We didn't actually stay there as we have our own property on the coast but went for lunch and were shown around the hotel by the very friendly staff. Everywhere is immaculate, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well presented. The food was excellent. We returned a few days later and were taken out riding into the mountains and had a fabulous two hours trail riding. Everything about this property is first class, it's away from the tourist areas and a perfect way to experience the wonderful rural side of Tenerife. The walking in the area is outstanding.
