We liked the general ambience and setting of the house in the Spanish countryside. Our host was very friendly, attentive and most helpful without being intrusive. Our room was spacious very comfortable and had a wonderful view across the landscape to the town of Jérica. An e-mail to us before our arrival with driving directions was most helpful in finding Sharíqua. Breakfast was excellent and based on real home cooking. We highly recommend Sharíqua.

What a special place Shariqua is! Anna is a delightful host and our room and bathroom were so comfortable. Everything was spotless and so nicely decorated. We ate dinner and it was a fabulous meal; one of our best of the trip! Breakfast was also excellent and Anna's jams are a treat, we wanted to try them all! The area is lovely and we enjoyed wandering around Jerica which you can walk to from Shariqua. The view of the town from our room was beautiful, especially at night with it all lit up. I give Shariqua the highest recommendation.

Room Tip: All the rooms are good!

Sharique is down a little track, with lovely scenery. When we arrived Anna was very friendly and helpful. The room was quite large with en suite shower. Nice shower and towels, shower gel and hand soap provided. We had pre arranged dinner which was very tasty aubergine gratin, baked brie, lovely tomato and onion salad and chicken with vegetables and a bottle of local wine, nice. Large comfortable bed, cotton bed linen. Breakfast was good, toast, bread, homemade cakes and jams, fruit cereals and cooked meats, something for everyone. We were warned before we booked about the road having a bump! Having a very low car we had a bit of trouble, went over at an angle so all ok the views from balcony doors was magnificent

A hidden GEM!! Stunning views from your private balcony of the beautiful village of Jerica. Spacious bedrooms with private baths, plus well appointed with down comforters & pillows. Anna's homemade jams to go with a stunning presentation of breads, cheeses & hams; plus fruit & cereal & more to your specific taste, and fresh squeezed Valencia orange juice. We chose to have dinner there also, and wished we had done it both nights. Anna wishes to please you in every way. She is a master cook & gardener with skills of personal touches throughout the home of flowers, candles, furnishings & all so warm & inviting, as well as immaculate. Our daughter & friend, who live in Valencia, will go back on their own very soon. So it satisfies all ages. Shariqua is a destination all it's own. If we never make it back there from NC in the USA, Anna & her beautiful home will always remain a special part of us. Thank you for that.

We had a wonderful weekend in Shariqua: the host was very welcoming and she gave us a lot of suggestions for things to do and visit. She was very well informed about hikes in the region. The area of Jérica is very beautiful but still quiet as it's not discovered yet by the crowds. The interior of the house was very spacious and special, with some Arab influences and a lot of light; the rooms were neat and quiet. We spent a wonderful weekend there! The breakfast was tailored to our personal preference and was partly presented as a buffet, with lots of homemade products.
The outlook from the many terraces of the house offers stunning views on the beautiful village of Jérica, which can be reached by foot via a garden path way. We would definitely recommend the place!!

What would we do without Tripadvisor and Booking.com where previous guests have written their experience. We would never hav found this little gem of a place. It can be difficult to find, but we looked at the mapdirections and used our logic and found the way quite easily in fact. It is a rural area. We got a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the small town of Jerica in the sight. Waking up in the morning with this view is a really nice way to start the day, and it only got better when we came down for breakfast. The most beatiful homemade products of marmelades I have ever tasted in my life! Go there! Thats all I can say! We stayed only one night on our trip towards San Sebastian from Torrevieja, but I wish we could stay much longer. Sorry for not writing before like I said I would. I could of course have written in my own language norwegian, but almost every Norwegian reads english, and i want a lot more people to understand that this is a "must go" place.

Stayed at Shariqua last night. A warm welcome from Anna who speaks very good English. The most comfortable bed I've slept in since we've been travelling. An extra fold-out bed was set up for our son. Excellent breakfast. Would stay there again.
