Ill start with the plus points, the hotel couldnt be in a better location, its right on the harbour close to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is clean and in good condition, but there are issues, the beds are rock hard if you are slim and the double beds are just two singles pushed together. If your room is at the front of the hotel it can get a little noisey as the rooms are only single glazed.

Breakfast was great although my room was almost in the breakfast room so i certainly knew it was breakfast time before i really wanted to!

All in all a very nice hotel in a nice place but maybe not one to stay in for too long!

Dear guest : thank you for let us know your opinion about your staying at the Cap de Creus Hotel. We are very glad that you enjoyed the situation of the hotel, and its ou pleasure to answer to the rest of your comments. We have more or less 50 % of rooms with large beds, to be requested upon reservation, in order to be sure you get this type of room if you are interested in.

Furthermore, we offer high quality of mattresses, 28 cm high, much apreciated by some of the customers, but obviously depends on what each client is accustomed at home. All the rooms have windows insulation, for your comment we can see that in few rooms there are flaws on the insulation, so we will check them and provide a change if necessary at the end of season.

Due to the lack in space in the reception floor, the breakfast room is located in the first
floor, we keep special attention not to disturb our guests, your comment will be useful to us to improve our service.
Best regards, we hope we will see you soon again in Cap de Creus or Porto Cristo Hotel.

Loverly modern facilities, in an old building. Great rooms, ours was a suite, with kitchenette. assume they are all the same Lovely location right on the bay. Continental Breakfast only in the hotel, restaurant for evening meal 50 meters away, which is very good. The town was a little quiet when we stayed in late May.

Dear guests, thank you for appreciated so much our Hotel Cap de Creus as well as our services, specially the restaurant Monterrey for dinner.

However, when you say that we serve continental breakfast, we guess that you are comparing it to an english breakfast. Our breakfast is a very complete buffet, with some cold specialties, as well as seven kinds of hot dishes. We consider very important this point in order to assist other clients. Many thanks again, we hope to see you soon in Cap de Creus or Hotel Porto Cristo. Best regards.

Hotel was clean and conveniently located, although parking may be difficult during the high season. The hotel will park your car for a 12 euro fee, however. We thought the hotel a bit pricey until we had the phenomenal breakfast included with the room. A great buffet, easily costing 12-15 euros for each of us. Deducting that cost, the room was well-priced.

Our room faced away from the sea, but it was on a quiet small street with three great looking patisseries. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The hotel's recommendation of the Mediterranean, located really close to the hotel was a good choice.

A little paradise in the balamory of gerona. Big modern rooms with a great spa opposite the harbour, beach and a stones throw from the restaurants and shops. Only draw back is that the area can get pretty busy so peace and quiet comes in small doses, but then again it's busy with friendly locals so it could be a lot worse

This isn’t the first time we’ve stayed in this town doing a walking holiday. The last time we stayed here, we stayed in the ‘sister’ hotel to this hotel, the Hotel Porto Cristo. And to be honest, the same amount of snobbery exists at this hotel. As I stated in my review for the Hotel Porto Cristo in 2011, you are treated differently to regular guests because you are staying here as part of a walking holiday.

I don’t think they like this type of guest and in truth you are not treated as well as regular guests. As a hotel guest you shouldn’t be made to take your shoes off in the reception area and put on a second hand pair of slippers. No other guests would have to this in any other hotel (unless it was the Hotel Porto Cristo). Having to publicly remove your boots and then leave them in reception is quite frankly, out of order. We are entitled to be treated like every other guest – walking boots or not.

Once you’ve done your footwear exchange, you are then allowed to proceed to your room. The rooms themselves are slightly unusual in that they also provide the means to do some self catering. They are very clean and very contemporary with a huge flat screen TV (which has a couple of English TV stations on - ITV 1 and ITV 4), large comfortable bed, modern furniture and a spacious bathroom with a spa bath and excellent shower all done to quite a high spec.

Wi-Fi is also freely available throughout the hotel. The location is in the dead central of town and you are right next to the harbour/marina with all amenities nearby (bars/restaurants etc.).

Breakfast is served on the first floor and there is a good selection of bread, meats, cheeses, juice, tea, coffee and fruit.

Overall, I would say that this is a pretty decent hotel with all mod cons if that’s your thing. There is a bit of style over substance but it’s good to stay somewhere that has a decent sized fridge, a couple of hobs to cook on, a microwave and a kettle (not that we used any of these things).

It’s just a shame that the front of house staff or hotel policy thinks it can treat guests in a certain way when we are the ones paying to stay here. I find it rude and very unprofessional.

Room Tip: Try not to look like you've been on a walking holiday.

We were on a walking tour and we had been billeted in some very ordinary hotels. What a pleasure it was to stay in Cap de Creus. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were happy to help with all our requests. he hotel is well located in the center of this beautiful fishing port. There are many good beach to swim at and there are historical sites close by. The room was spacious and very clean. It had small extras like tea and coffee making facilities and a bar fridge. We overlooked a quite lane. There was free WiFi. And most importantly the breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of quality selections. I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Pay a few dollars extra and get a view of the sea. This is such a pretty port it seems a shame not t...
