In August in southern Italy there isn't much more you could ask for than accommodation right on the coast, in a quiet neighbourhood, with a pool and excellent facilities and an easy walk to pleasant bars or beachside family run restaurants, without the paraphernalia of beach bars and sunbeds making the area noisy and crowded. Sitting as it does between two small fishing resorts it is possible to have the best of both worlds. There are nearby markets and local stores or with a short drive larger supermarkets for those who want them.
We have stayed here on many occasions and each time we get less inclined to travel around and more inclined to sit by the pool, or on the excellent veranda and then meander the stones throw to the beach later in the day.
Bob and Debbie create an excellent, relaxed approach, on hand when needed, a superb welcome basket, very comfortable accommodation and a superbly equipped kitchen. From there the choice is yours, cook in or eat out, tour or stay put, swim in the sea or the pool, sit on the veranda and read or talk to the cats....
Definitely recommended. As someone who likes open water swimming, cycling and running this is also a great location for all three activities, even in the height of summer it is easy to find quiet routes to run or cycle and the sea swim down to Lendinuso and back is mostly over sand and not frequented much by boats so quite straightforward to negotiate. On windy days the kite surfers and wind surfers are very entertaining to watch.
