we stayed here one night to catch a ferry in the morning, the rooms are clean and spacious although there is no air conditioning and it was hot!! The breakfast was plentiful, we waited by the pool area after checking out and the owner seemed happy with that, we did have a meal the night before and that was good value and good food which is a bonus as there isnt anywhere else to eat around there..The only complaint for me was the transfer was charged at 4 euros more than he had said in his email so just watch that ( we werent sure until we came home and checked) and that was too late..

This is a nice hotel, clean and good priced. However, you have to factor in the 30 or so euro by taxi to and from the airport and if you want to be in the centre of things, is not ideal as it is about an hour from Athens. It is quiet and leafy but because of the tiled floors sound travels; the door buzzer in the middle of the night for late comers, voices in reception, kitchen preparation early in the morning. There is also a rooster in the neighbourhood which starts before dawn which may wake you without the need for an alarm. The breakfast was really good, fresh and has everything you need. It is good for a stop over if you need to rest but not the best for tourist attractions sites.

Dirty, not well maintained. Mold and hair in the bathroom. Dust in the room. Mosquitoes, even during daytime, no repellant in the room. No TV remote. Dark room (porch), had to turn on the light even daytime. Yard and pool dirty. Far from the airport, aprox 20-30 min drive. payed 28 euro for one person (the driver, one of the owners I suppose, was 10 minutes late, despite the fact he lives in the hotel!!!) Breakfast was decent. Not a good value for money. I stayed at a lovely , elegant, clean hotel in Pireas for less. I advise you not to choose Myrto.

my fiancé and i were coming back from mykonos to beirut and we were forced to stay 1 night in athens so we booked at myrto hotel.

the taxi that was driving us from the airport to the hotel took 35 euros, when we reached the hotel we asked the reception to send someone pick our luggage, they said sorry but you have to get the luggage cause we don't have this service. we checked in, they gave us room 102 that is located in −1 and close to the pool.

the room smells like if there are dead bodies inside, the bed sheets are dirty, the whole room is disgusting i stayed for like 30 min in the room trying to accept it but i couldn't, i went out to the pool and sat at the bar and ordered 2 corona beers. while the bartender is preparing the beers, a customer next to me was bleeding from his knee. he called the bartender and gave him a tissue full of blood and water, so the bartender took it with his hand and threw it in the bin without any gloves in his hand and he washed his hands without soap. then the bartender cut the lemon and put it in my beer.

after throwing the beer i went up to the reception and asked them to call the hotel's owner, i talked to him and told him my story, he was sorry for the bartender and he gave me another room (104) next to the one he gave me the first time. i entered the room and same story dirty as hell.

i took my suitcases and left the room in seconds. i went to the owner and asked him to give me back my money, he refused. so i called a cab and left the hotel and waited for 12 hours at the airport for my flight. my one hour stay cost me a full day at myrto hotel. it was the worst day of my life.

thank you trip advisor for letting us post our comments. this hotel must close.

Room Tip: don't even think of going to myrto hotel. sleeping at the airport is much better than myrto h...

We only stayed at this property one night before heading out to the Peleponnese region the next day. The staff (owners?) were very welcoming and friendly, even though we had notified them in advance that we would arrive past 10:30 pm. They speak very good English, and they provided us with great driving directions the next morning.

The hotel is a little dated, BUT, for the price of 58euro, we found it to be just right. The continental breakfast is pretty basic, but the coffee was good. No complaints here.

The room was very clean, as was the bathroom. The sheets were very clean, and the pillow cases are embroidered with the hotel logo. Towels were plentiful for two people. Do bring your own toiletries, otherwise there is the basic tiny soap and shampoo sachets.

The grounds are pretty, with lots of greenery. The pool is beautiful, with a great deck!

Location, in relation to the airport is about 16kms, which is a comfortable distance to drive. Getting to it, even late at night was very easy. We reached it just be the simple instructions given to us from the car hire staff.

The town of Marathonos apparently has beautiful beaches, so, perhaps a stay of a couple of days would be recommended. We we just transiting, and we did not enjoy what Marathonos offers.

There are perhaps a couple of negatives, such as a very small shower, and not a very good shower fixture. The rooms are very small, so, if you have a lot of luggage, maybe you can bring to your room only what you need, and put the rest of it in the storage room.

Room Tip: Even though our room was on the side of the road, it was quiet late at night. Perhaps those rooms fa...

I picked this hotel because we needed to stay in Athens for a quick stop over before heading to Istanbul the next morning. The hotel isn't as close to the airport as it makes out to be. Took about 30min drive and our cab there charged 35 euros. We organised a transfer back to the airport with the hotel; they said they would call a cab for us and that it'd be 28 euros.

This "cab" turned out to be a privately owned old VW golf who's driver was clearly someone known to the owner. What's more, this other couple was also asking for a cab they'd booked and the old man at reception rudely tried to pack them in with us. 4 people plus luggage into a tiny vehicle. When we asked for half our transfer money back because we were sharing with another couple, the guy first stormed off ignoring us and when our (very polite) driver called him back, the old man grabbed the other couples stuff and yanked them from the boot. Those poor guys then had to wait for another driver.

A proper cab from Athens airport to the city centre is flat rate 35 euros and approx 45 min. I would have preferred to do that and been in the city again, with more restaurants and things to do around us than at Myrto which was nearly as far and as costly to get to but with only one tavern nearby for dinner.

As an aside, the room was adequate and breakfast (included) was decent. The lady who checked us in was lovely. It was just that old man who's behaviour I found unacceptable.

We only stayed 1 night and thought this to be a clean and friendly place . The food at the hotel was great for dinner and quick as we have 3 kids under 10 . The owner of the place went out of his way, to help print tickets. The bed were the best in Greece ,my 9 year old said . As we had a early ferry they put the breakfast out for us . Good cheap family friendly place .Thanks for your kindness ....

Room Tip: We had 2 rooms on the bottom floor near the pool .
