This reminded me of the town centre French hotels we stayed in 40 years ago! A little down-at-heel, the bedroom was comfortable but shabby, and the shower could do with updating. But it was very peaceful. The reception/breakfast room had obviously had more recent attention. A lovely old building with masses of character, as had the lady running the place. Parking right outside.
What would have made it that bit better - decent bread and croissants from the boulangerie rather than the supermarket!
Ideal for discovering this relatively unknown but interesting town in the heart of Franche Comté.
Despite its weaknesses, I would recommend this hotel as an example of what French town hotels used to be like.
