What an amazing museum!

Studio Ghibli is so fascinating and the museum just gives a glimpse into the amazing talent that is Hayao Miyazaki.

Make sure to book your tickets in advance as they are near to impossible to buy in Japan (they can be bought in the Lawson shops). I bought mine 2 months before I went and luckily got a date that I could go. I'm from Ireland and bought the tickets from My Bus in the UK which is listed on the Ghibli museum website and found them great with communication and speedy delivery of the tickets.

If you have little kids there is a big cat bus for them to play in and for the bigger kids there is a huge Laputa in the rooftop garden to get your picture taken with!

Definitely go if you can get tickets and love Studio Ghibli :)

I have been to Tokyo many times but always didn't get the chance to visit this museum because of time and the difficulty of getting the tickets. This time I told myself I needed to put aside a afternoon for this place and I'm glad that I did. Bought my tickets from Voyagin which they charged a little more but it's definitely worth it as it's almost impossible to get the tickets unless through a friend in Japan.

This museum is AMAZING. From the works of Miyazaki-san and his team to re-created places from some of the movies, wow. The atmosphere in the museum is just fantastic. Not to mention there's a awesome gift shop too, which sells many exclusive ghibli stuffs from t-shirts to figurines that can only be bought there. It's too bad that no taking of pictures is allowed inside the museum though.

Definitely enjoyed spending my early afternoon, the experience to this museum is definitely the best museum I have ever been in my life. It's magical.

If you a fan of Hayao Miyazaki, this is the place you must visit. Love this museum, it was so beautiful and gave me lots of childhood memories (i love totoro and kiki's delivery). Spent long time in the gift shop! An excellent experience! We bought the ticket ahead at JTB USA, Inc.

For fans of Japanese animation, the Ghibli museum is a must see, as is the gift shop which is expensive, but some of the goods are exclusive and can't be found elsewhere.

Be sure to book tickets in advance.
