I have been to Villa Pisani four times. I have never had the experience expressed by one of the reviewers hereunder. The villa reflects the intimacy of Italy, and lets the visitor understand Italy as she once was; not as the tourist filled, high priced, and crowded experience so often found in the tourist centers such as Florence, Rome, or even Venice.
To understand Villa Pisani, you must understand that this is not a scrubbed up villa interested in charging high prices and giving low service. Nor should one expect a "villa" with a capital "V." The point of Villa Pisani at Vescovana is to experience how this place reflects the way Italian landed gentry really lived. Don't hesitate to ask the owner for suggestions of out of the way places to visit and experience dining that is not costly but rewarding. There are no cameras as suggested elsewhere on this page. There is a security system turned on at night at 11 pm. The water in any house that can sleep 20-22 people needs to be turned on and let run for a while to get hot water all the way up to those 12 bedrooms! If you want a hotel experience, go to a hotel. If you want a peek into how Italy was and how Italians lived, then don't hesitate to vist Villa Piani and explore the Po Valley, which is the "breadbasket" of northeast Italy.
