My wife and i stayed there 2 nights, mid-June this year, apart from being affordable, it's clean, tidy, beautiful garden and pool settings, brilliant lake views and close to Yarrawonga and Mulwala shops, hosts are great people, overall great experience.
Next trip to Yarrawonga we'll definitely stay at Capricorn Motor Inn.

Stayed here for four nights in late May. Reception did not appear to have disabled access so a disabled person may need to ring on arrival or have a carer with them. There was a dedicated disabled park re the disabled room. Other parking is not designated to a room ie first come, first served. The disabled room was accessed by a short steep brick ramp by the pathway into the courtyard. Our room being in the far corner, didn't have a direct view of the lake, but that wasn't important.

The disabled room is really a small double but Milton put in a new rollaway bed for my 85 year old father and I. It was a tight squeeze if the rollaway bed was open. It was obvious that the room had been a twin the past and in our case, would have been better for us as the couch was too low for me.

The disabled bathroom was dated but ok with rails by the toilet and shower. There was a plastic garden chair and non slip bath mat for use in the shower.

Fresh milk was supplied, a big plus.

Milton was very helpful and suggested moving us to another room but there was no way that I could have negotiated the large step into it. We were given vouchers for Club Mulwala including the Diggers Bistro, which for the disabled is a very long walk and a lift ride from the Club's entrance.

Being next to Club Mulwala is both a blessing and a curse. Close to food and entertainment but their staff are very noisy in the morning and the road out of the motel was in very poor condition.

Room Tip: A corner room would give you a better view of the lake if you are able bodied.

We only stayed one night here but it was clean, quiet and of a very good standard. We booked the deluxe room for $110 and had a good night's sleep. Too cold to use the pool but it looked small but inviting. Nice views over Lake Mulwala. We walked to the Club next too (5 mins walk) for a good meal.

Our stay was adequate. Room was neat and tidy. Bathroom smaller than we like. Cigarette smell and butts offputting. Road noise was low, people noise was annoying, nice lake views and pleasant service. They definitely need to at least mention other breakfast/lunch venues than the ones they have a personal interest in! It is a tourist town after all.

Convenient location next to large RSL currently being extended. Good standard of motel in horseshoe configuration around the pools with great views over the lake. Quiet & comfortable for a good night's sleep. The hosts recommended Nosh for a great breakfast. We had a good evening meal at the Royal Mail Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a deluxe room

Just returned from a weekend away with good friends. We stayed at Heaven On The Lake, a 4 bedroom house which is owned by the Capricorn.
Four bedrooms. three bathrooms and plenty of room for 4 couples (or a family). The views from inside and on the balcony are sensational. An ideal spot to tie the boat up out the front and fish or ski from there.
Very helpful hosts however there was a few maintenance issues, not a great dishwasher, very little dishwashing detergent and a few broken chains (plastic) on the blinds. Not really a big issue when you take into consideration how wonderful the house is, and in the most perfect location.

This place was clean and comfortable, rooms are tastfully decorated, the view was to die for...very quiet..we stayed in winter though. Great price. Only one dislike. Bathroom is a wee bit tiny. Like a cupboard. No room to move around in and get dressed.

Other than that...a really nice place.
