Booked this as a stop off on the way to the south of France. On the surface it looked ok and when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised but not for long. The public areas are clean and functional but he rooms although clean were tired and had seen much better days. the bathroom was small and the ceiling mouldy. The paintwork was chipped too in the rooms and it just looked past it.mthe menu was basic but seemed ok and the offer was a 2 course meal for 23 Euros. We chose the chicken kebabs with salad and French fries. When it arrived the only impressive thing was the bizarre method of service where the kebab was suspended about the plate with some metal contraption! The portion sizes were small and the quality was average
. The breakfast the next day was functional but again portion size was minimal. The only really positive thing was the service . All the staff were friendly and helpful. All in all though a relatively expensive one night stay. Thank good ness it was only one night!

Set on an industrial estate just outside Chateauroux, and right next to an Auchan, this was a complete surprise. Though the rooms were basic, they were extremely clean, and there was no traffic noise at all, at night. The most surprising aspect was the restaurant, which was superb. The whole experience was helped by the extremely pleasant staff, especially the smiling young girl, with glasses, who waited on in the evening. A n excellent stop off point.

Apparently this is meant to be a 2 star hotel. However, the quality of the rooms and the quality of the food especially, is much much better. On approaching the hotel you have to drive through an industrial estate and on arriving at the rear of the property to park, you could be forgiven for your first thoughts. But these are soon dispelled on arriving into the reception area. The staff are very friendly and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms is great, add flat screen TV and iPod dock and things just only get better. The highlight for me was the restaurant, simple French food done extremely well. I had an evening meal and enjoyed one of the best steaks I've had in a long while, breakfast was just as good. So all in all, tremendous value for money and punches well above its weight! :0)
