“Disappointing”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

I have to stay here on a regular basis as its close to my office. My last visit was very disappointing. The free WiFi did not work on the first night, I know its free but you still need good internet access. On the second morning there was no hot water at all.....a cold shower is not the best start to the day. Also the breakfast which costs 18 euros was very poor as they had no fresh rolls just some stale bread and most of the other items were not replenished. Later I heard that my colleagues complaints led to a reduction in the bill but sadly despite being a regular guest this did not apply to me. I will have to look elsewhere to stay if this poor service continues.

This was an overnight business stay. Check in was easy and I was very pleasantly surprised at the size of the room which was vast. The lounge area had to be 50 square metres and had a coffee machine, music player, nice sofa, TV, dining table with 4 chairs, mini bar, sideboard and a private balcony with an air conditioner and table and chairs. The hallway had a wardrobe and plenty of hanging space plus a safe and usual sundries. The bathroom was very clean with sufficient space to put all of your toiletries out. It also has a hairdryer and shaving mirror with electric socket. The bedroom was another big room with TV, double wardrobe, table with chair and another separate balcony. My room also had a bathrobe and slippers - nice touch. I don't know if I was just lucky or not but this room was quite wonderful. I am an Accor hotel member so maybe that helped? I don't really know. I went to the restaurant which was surprisingly empty so I got great service from the waiter. The food was hot and tasty and chef was very generous with his portions! I had breakfast in my room and that was delivered nice and hot - not something that most hotels seem to get right.
My only criticism was that the pillows didn't suit me as they were too small and soft plus the bed was at least queen size but only 2 single duvets were supplied. It suits some but not for me.
Overall, this was an enjoyable stay with great staff and good food. I would definitely recommend it for business as it is close to the airport - around 15 minutes and €25 taxi fare.

Room Tip: 201 is an enormous suite with a huge lounge area with a balcony. The bedroom is similarly big also w...

Taking part in a conference just few kilometers away, I have chosen this hotel as it seemed to be the best choice in the area and had a pretty nice stay. The building dates back to 70s, however it must have been renovated recently and is well kept. Upon arrival I got a nice surprise which was free upgrade from standard room to a suite. The food in the restaurant was fine although originally the waitress confused my order, but luckily I didn’t have to wait too long for my spaghetti. Overall experience of two nights spent in the hotel was absolutely positive.

Booked last minute after the nightmare strike by security staff at Frankfurt International airport.

The hotel is pretty tired, with building work just outside the front door.

The television only had one English language channel, MSNBC for some reason!!

Also, after having had a nightmare day stuck in endless queues at the airport, I was told that the restaurant was closed and directed to the nearest take-away!!

The reception was barely manned. Reception staff (make the the one person who was meant to be on reception duty) sat in a small windowed office behind the reception desk. The window was presumably so he could see when someone was waiting, but alas, every time all I could see was his back at the window and I had to cough a large "excuse me" to get any response.

Check out at 6am was thankfully smooth!!

Room Tip: In another hotel!!

Overall Hotel is fine, the room was immaculate & comfortable which I suppose amounts to majority of overall hotel experience. Location of Dreieich, 15 mins from airport. Good for business stay but bleak enough area.
The bar was cozy with very good bar man. Sports on TV but not overpowering. Restaurant well laid out, spacious & clean. Only had the breakfasts there - bland enough. Mostly tinned fruit, juices from concentrate. What really annoyed me about the place was I booked it on premise that it had some sort of gym. Shambles of an effort. For the cost of 1 person to stay 1 night at the hotel, they could hire a mechanic to come in & fix the 2 broken bikes, as well as the only other weight machine (broken also). Entrance - hard to find as again, the lights on the main entrance sign are broken. Again - the little things, a little bit of effort would make this place a lot more pleasureable

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights due to a meeting that was held close by. The first thing that I found out already before arriving at the hotel, was the fact that even though there is the word 'airport' in the hotel name, there is no shuttle service to the airport, but you are required to take a taxi to the hotel. The fare ranged from 22€ to 32€ when comparing the costs with the other attendees at the meeting. The village of Dreieich, where the hotel is located, is a small quiet village, with not much to offer to the traveller. Besides the hotel and its restaurant, there is one Bavarian bierstube/restaurant serving typical German foods with German schlagers playing on the background, one Italian restaurant and one Mexican-Thai-German restaurant with, at least the night we were there, a music selection from the 80's. Due to its location right next to the local train station, it is also very busy, so I would recommend calling ahead first.
I did smile a bit when I was handed an actual key instead of the usual electronic keycards almost all hotels use these days. The one could thing I can say is that at least I didn't have to worrfy wiping it clean with the battery of my iPad or smartphone. The Privilege room with the bathrobe, slippers and a bottle mineral water, was a pretty standard 3 star hotel room. The balcony would definitely be nice in the Summer time, but it wasn't much of use in November.
The breakfast wasn't anything special. It had the standard breakfast foods you would expect in a hotel, with no real extras. The food in the restaurant was good, the wine list concentrated perhaps a bit too much on German wines to my taste and the prices were definitely higher than in the restaurants nearby. But not too expensive to stay in, if you don't feel like going out and walking to the other restaurants.
The most positive thing about the hotel however, is its staff, at the front desk, the Diamond bar and the Prince restaurant. Friendly, not in a hurry to get you served and gone, but willing to help you, if you neede help, give you advise on where to go and how to get there and doing it all with a smile on their face. This proved again the old truth, that the staff truly makes the hotel a place where you enjoy being, makes your stay memorable and makes it also so much easier to select the hotel again.

Room Tip: If you don't get your room serviced each day and you stay longer than 1 night, you get a 5€ vouc...
