“Brilliant home away from home cottage - everything you need in a delightful setting”
Reviewed 18 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

This cottage is in a wonderful scenic location with Lantern Pike hill out the front and farm fields at the rear. There is a circular walk that can be picked up a few hundred metres down the road which takes you up to the Kinder reservoir - an absolute must see!
The cottage itself is like a home away from home. All you need to pack are your clothes and food as the cottage has everything else you could wish for and a bit more! There are DVDs, books, games, jigsaws puzzles as well as all the linen, towels and every kitchen item you could imagine - you really do not need to take anything except yourselves and personal belongings.
There is a massive table which comfortably seats 10 in the kitchen dining area and we used this loads both for family meals and playing games - a real focus area for family and group activity. We would definitely like to return here as had a wonderful time with family and friends celebrating a milestone birthday and could not have wanted for anything better.
As a bonus there are plenty of pubs in the local area if you want to eat out.

“Fabulous base for a family celebration”
Reviewed 3 May 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The property was in a great location with lovely views. There are plenty of walks that can be completed from the house and the rest of the Peak District is easily accessible. The house was very well looked after and had everything you could think of. The large dining table and sofas were great for the whole family to sit down together. There was also a wide variety of games and puzzles to keep the younger members amused.
We had a great weekend here celebrating our Dads 70th birthday and hope to return again next year.

“Clean, well-equipped cottage with space for teens and tots.”
Reviewed 16 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

The cottage was well equipped, particularly areas like the kitchen, and comfortable. There were lots of games for the children, dvds, walking guides etc. Lots of those little things that are useful to have, like sellotape and spare batteries in the drawers.

“Beautiful Cottage, amazing location, great price and service”
Reviewed 10 April 2017 for a stay in April 2017

What an absolute jem of a find this was! Stumbled upon this cottage for a short stay in the Peak District visiting friends. From start to finish Jennifer the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly, detailed and responsive to emails and queries.

The cottage is situated in an amazing location. An amazing view across to a small village in the distance sourrounded by hills. The view from the front of the cottage really was lovely to wake up to. A short drive in any direction and you have fanatastic walks or small villages with ammenities.

Entering the cottage we were welcomed with a small basket that consisted of wine, fresh coffee and more. Jennifer has spent a lot of time creating an information booklet that has all of the information that you might possibly need during your stay, with everything you need to know about the cottage and it's features as well as local things to do and much more.

The cottage was spottless when we arrived. The kitchen is lovely and has everything you need and more! It was like we had walked into our own kitchen at home and really didnt need to bring anything. The dining area consisted of a massive table that could sit about 8 people. Living room was lovely and cosy with comfortable seating, tv and dvd player and a large collection of films and also board games etc. Internet was supplied and worked well.

Second floor consisted of a bunk room, a twin room, a double room with en suite and a toilet. All nice size, clean and very nice. Third floor consisted of a double with en suite, same standard as other rooms.

The cottage was beautiful and just perfect for our weekend stay. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our trip to the Peak District and staying at this lovely cottage made it that more enjoyable.

Thank you Jennifer, we can't wait to return!

Stayed here for Christmas with grown up children. It was perfect had everything we needed and was beautifully warm. Woke up to beautiful views in the mornings. Location couldn't have been better. Lovely walk to the village for some great local pubs and a fantastic butcher and Boxing Day we all walked from the house onto Kinder Scout. Buxton and Matlock easy to get to by car.
