Best Western Villa Appiani
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 19 April 2014

Best Western can be a bit inconsistent, but this one was very nice. Starting with ample parking outside, the check-in was quick and flawless in a very nice entry lobby. The room we had was very large with a nice large bathroom....very clean as well. Great bathroom and shower.

We had dinner at the Michelin rated restaurant and really enjoyed the ravioli with a bottle of Vino de Nobile Multipulciano - excellent. Arriving at about 10pm was no problem for the waiter who provided excellent service.

Breakfast was pretty good, but a bit crowded by the buffet area and the waiter behind the bar was clearly annoyed that day. Other than his bit of an attitude, the rest of the staff at the front desk and restaurant were excellent.

Highly recommended for the price.

Stayed for 5 nights in Feb using the hotel as a base to visit the Milan area. The hotel is situated 2 mins drive from the Capriate exit on the A4 autostrada which is 20 minutes drive from the airport at Bergamo and 35 minutes to Milan. With no local train or underground station nearby a car is essential to get about (the hotel has a large car park in front).
The room was a good size, modern, very clean with comfortable bed. Good Wifi.
Buffet breakfast was good and I would second other reviewers in saying the freshly squeezed orange juice was great. Have an evening meal in the restaurant which was very good and the wine that the waiter recommended was excellent. There is a restaurant pizza Daniela a couple of minutes walk which is also worth a visit (always full of locals which is a good sign).
Very friendly reception staff.
Would recommend this hotel without hesitation

I had to go to Trezzo sull'Adda last minute to go to the "Live Music Club" venue, to see one of my favourite band.

Arriving there was not so easy, but we managed it. The, we had to check for a hotel.

Passing with the car just in front of the Best Western, we figured to stop and ask for the fares. I have to say that my first impression was that this hotel would be very expensive because it looks like a real Boutique hotel, from outside as well as when you enter to the reception.

And that was when we got a great surprise : The price !!! I have been to many hotels and many different categories, but the price they offered for a room with breakfast was incredible (think it was 110 Euros for 2 with breakfast), I had to ask twice to be sure. In my mind I was just wondering how the room will be..

But the room was clean, quite big and with a very nice bathroom.

Breakfast was also very good and the staff was always smiling, sympathic and very helpful.

If I have to go back to this area, I would definitvely go back there and stay a bit longer to walk around the Adda river.

As I say, a very very good surprise !

I stayed here for two nights back in January 2014 whilst on business and found the hotel to be comfortable and clean.

I had a single room, which was fairly small and basic but very clean and the stocked inclusive mini bar was very welcome!

Breakfast was good especially the freshly squeezed orange juice.

I had one evening meal in the hotel with suppliers and it was very enjoyable.

I would certainly use this hotel again if I were visiting the area again.

A special mention go to the staff who were all excellent.

We booked 6 rooms for 4 nights for a party of 11 including 2 over 80's attending a family wedding in Gorganzola and Castile de Marne - the Hotel was perfect for the event, the staff couldn't be more helpful. Special mention for Mattea who was amazing and made everything very easy for us. The family sampled the dinner menu the 1st evening and the set meal was a real success. The breakfasts were also very good.
The hotel is very tastefully decorated and the rooms all good sizes, the location was perfect for our event and I would definitely use again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the higher floors were very spacious with high ceilings

Great experience. Perfect location for those who travel by car, Bergamo is 10 km far and Milan is 40. Very nice restaurant - cusine is perfect and sommelier Fabio is the best. We were impressed. If you want to have a good rest in Italy, do not hesitate and choose Villa Appiani.

Room Tip: Location in quite place ensures calm rest.

I stayed here for one night for a business trip and its lovely, a bit noisey as near to road but overall great place to stay. Had dinner in hotel which was lovely. Would stay here again. The staff are really helpful for example with wifi and the breakfast was tasty with a great amount of choice. I'm going onto Parma quite refreshed after a good nights sleep so overall a very pleasant stay at the Best Western again. Thanks to everyone who made my stay so enjoyable.
