We visited for dinner on a Sunday evening as we were staying in Bainbridge.
On the plus side there was a good selection on the menu, the meal tasted wonderful and looked fantastic. The young staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes and wine. We were celebrating our anniversary and the waiting staff decorated our desert plate - a nice touch. The bill came to about £130 including pre-dinner drinks, wine, digestifs and a 10% service charge, which was very reasonable.
On the down side we were the first table to be seated (7pm) and service was a bit rushed for the first couple of courses (mains on table by 7:30), although did slow when the restaurant became busier and we asked for a pause. As we were the only couple in the restaurant for the first half hour or so we had the waiting staff chatting between themselves about recent weddings hosted at the hotel. Not a big deal but mildly irritating. Whilst the dishes tasted fantastic the portions were a little on the small side, even for a fine dining restaurant.
On balance we had an enjoyable evening at Yorebridge House, but there wasn't really anything to set it apart from the countless other boutique hotels operating at that end of the market.
