The Swan at Ascott
Reviewed 14 July 2008

We were holding a family event and needed to use the bedrooms, dining facilities and general accommodations for our guests. The owner, Manager and all the staff were nothing less than fantastic.

Nothing was too much trouble. No request went overlooked. Not only did they deliver, but they delivered with charm, style and without fuss.

On top of all this the actual bedrooms are a delight with great modern en-suite facilities and they even provide free internet access. All of this achieved within a beautiful 'Old English' tradition Cotswold Pub environment.

My Partner and I recently stayed at the Swan at Ascott, we throughly enjoyed our weekend! It was everything and more one could hope for in a romantic quite weekend away.

Our room was very comfortable, and with it been newly refurbished was tasteful and clean. (a nice change from the tired cigarette smelling old rooms I have experienced in other similar priced hotels.)

We dined both nights in the restaurant the food was fantastic with an extensive menu... the only problem was choosing what to have it all sounded so good!

All in all we had a wonderful stay and could highly recommend the Swan to others for a relaxing weekend away!

I stayed at the Swan a couple of weeks ago. I needed a functional room within striking distance of Oxford but wanted to avoid the soul-less chain hotels that seem to have sprung up everywhere. I booked expecting a basic 'pub standard' B&B but the room was outstanding. It was newly refurbished, with tasteful decor and some great touches - flat screen TV, good shower etc. Above all the room was a decent size and had pretty views over the village. The breakfast was a surprise - I skipped past the standard full english and went for steak and eggs - not something I have seen on many B&B breakfast menus!

All in all great value accomodation and I would recommend it to anyone.
