This restaurant is situated very nicely over-looking the bay in Dunmore East. The décor is tasteful and I have been quite a frequent visitor, where I have usually enjoyed their pizzas. However, I don't expect to return anytime soon in the future. Our last visit was marred by really bland, over-cooked food, patently cheap ingredients, un-drinkable wine, very poor service and an overly defensive - verging on aggressive - maitre d. Our waiter coughed over olives he was delivering to the table opposite. Our (not fresh but not stale) bread arrived with the main course. We had to ask for water three times. When paying, I told the waiter very politely that we didn't have a satisfactory experience & to give him his due, he was very receptive and apologetic. I said that the main issue was that food was very disappointing. To top it off, was when we were accosted by the maitre d as we were leaving. We didn't ask to speak to him at all but he approached us , nevertheless. He took enormous umbrage that we didn't enjoy our experience and became quite aggressive to the point where we both had to walk away. All of this, coupled with Celtic Tiger prices, means that we won't be back anytime soon. and wouldn't recommend anyone else to visit either until they find a chef who can work with the maitre d and who is allowed to completely re-vamp the menu.
