The Ginney is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are very nice and have everything you need for a relaxing weekend. The breakfast was delicious. Whilst there we visited Aira Force Waterfalls,
Which isn't too far away. Would definitively recommend :-)

We were a group of 6 on the way up to Scotland from London and thought this would be a convenient stop-over. Wow! It was fabulous! Linda and Philip made up feel so welcome. The rooms were immaculate. The attention to detail and comfort was outstanding. The breakfast was delicious and they even catered for my daughter who is lactose intolerant. The location was perfect for a stop-over. However it is also very well placed for visiting the Lake District, as we found out the following weekend when 9 of us stayed for 2 nights on the way back from Scotland. Would highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely return one day.

Room Tip: All rooms are great!

Stayed in Daisy Cottage for a week. Excellent location for exploring the lakes. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need for self catering accommodation. For walkers like us, this was the perfect retreat to come back to at the end of a long day. We will definitely be returning soon.

We stayed at The Ginney for one night after a recommendation from a family member. We were not disappointed! An extremely friendly welcome, key provided for access when we liked, spotlessly clean, extremely attractive accommodation, lots of extra touches, such as a flask of real milk to use for in room coffees and teas (no UHT here!!!)' and a very comfortable room with en suite facilities. Breakfast was just something else - we didn't eat again all day! Excellent. I cannot recommend highly enough. Very handy too, just off the M6 near Penrith and just 10 minutes from Ullswater, and 20 minutes from the Aqua Sana at Center Parcs. In addition we were directed to a local hostelry for an excellent evening meal, and provided with a token for a free glass of wine.

This is a superb guest house which I strongly recommend. Warm welcome by the hosts, Linda and Philip; lovely rooms which are extremely well-equipped, immaculately clean and with lots of extras. Marvellous breakfast -- in itself well worth the visit! Beautiful location, yet very near the motorway. We've been 4 times now!
