What an awesome spot to stop and enjoy the Tuscan life. We stayed here for 3 nights when attending a wedding at nearby Castello Vicarella. We could easily have stayed much longer. Piera, the host is absolutely wonderful. We were the only guests at the time and felt like we were her personal guests. The suites are large and airy and the bed very comfortable. Piera prepared all our food and was always delicious (cake for breakfast?? just go with it!). We had incredible storms during our stay and watching them from our balcony over the winery and fields was breathtaking (coming from Australia, we have some good storms but these were big even for us!)
Piera also took us on a drive to Montalcino which we would not have visited otherwise and I really recommend a trip to this lovely village. She also arranged drivers for us to and from the wedding and also from the airport and back to Rome as we did not want to drive or take a train. It is remote so renting a car would be my recommendation as getting around is not possible with out one. I can't speak more highly of Pianirossi and Piera. A wonderful start to our trip.

This has got to be the most beautiful and tranquil place in (Southern) Tuscany!
You will find it off the beaten track, at the end of a dirt road, amidst vineyards. This is the most amazing middle of nowhere!
Don't worry about finding it; your GPS will locate it no problem.
There are no rooms here but apartments; 10 in total! Our apartment had a large sitting & dining area with a fire place, a large bathroom, a very spacious bedroom and a very cute veranda (no kitchen). Clean, fully-equipped with breathtaking views!

The hotel grounds are wonderful to walk around and the infinity pool is great to spend some relaxing moments.

It is a blessing to have breakfast and dinner here overlooking the vineyards. For dinner, you don't have to think of what to order. It's simple; you are served a series of simple traditional dishes of the day freshly cooked by an Italian old lady every day! Even the pasta for the lasagna is homemade! And it has got to be said, I have never had a more delicious ragu! And the Pianirossi wine, divine!

But the experience would not have been what it was without Piera, the hotel manager. She is so welcoming, friendly and happy to serve at all times. Really, she is a great asset to the hotel.

I would recommend Pianirossi to anyone overall, especially those who want to get a good Tuscany agrotourism experience at the best value for money.

Enchanting boutique hotel with beautiful suites with a panoramic view over the legendary and poetic hills of toscana; simple and great taste indoor and outdoor. great infinity pool even if missing shadow in summer. The hostess is very nice and warm. we got breakfast and even lunch or homemade dinner on her beautiful and shaded terrasse. No air conditioning but they are adding it in october 2012. Still there is some air at night.
Perfectly located close to Montalcino (20mn)and Montepulciano ( 1hour) and 35 min from sienna. i warmly recommend this place for its magical feel and simple natural beauty , its quiet and for the great and warm welcome .

Room Tip: ask for a room not in the main house with a terrasse

We had one night booked at this hotel but wish we could have stayed for longer. If you're looking for peace and quiet then this place, in the middle of some stunning Tuscan countryside, is perfect. The rooms are simply but beautifully furnished, large and comfortable. There is also a lovely infinity pool sited to make the most of the view. The only negatives were that it wasn't very easy to find, it didn't have a proper shower (just a handheld one over the bath) and I thought the dinner was a bit overpriced. Also, some fresh fruit at breakfast would have been appreciated.
