“Nice hotel”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Stayed a night here while on the Camino Ingles. From the outside the hotel looks Stalinesque, but inside the rooms are comfortable and more than adequate for the price. My room was quiet, but I think it could get a little noisy as there is not much sound proofing between rooms. I liked the size of the room and wifi was good as well as the tv. Only issue I had was with their credit card machine, which wouldn't take my card but then charged me while rejecting connection. Would recommend the hotel.

I felt I'd landed on my feet here. A large well lit room. Perhaps lacking facilities - no air conditioning (though the window was large and provided good ventilation), fridge or safe.

Well located near the centre of a very pleasant town (which was larger and more interesting than I expected).

Bring earplugs though. There was some very very loud music out back at 2am and clanging at around 5am. The road outside is also quite busy.

Breakfast was very continental. Croissant/ cake, bread, cheese, meat, some fruit. certainly not the worst I experienced

the hotel is basic as it caterrs mainly for spainish travellers , the town is great for a drink or meal out no one speaks any english apart from the odd few words ( usually the children) excellent if you want to escape and you cant gaurantee your mobile will ring either, locals very freindle and eating out and drinking very cheap not recommended for families with teenagers

We booked into this hotel with some trepidation given the previous reviews. We given a large warm clean room on a non-smoking floor, with a fantastic view of the river, comfortable twin beds a decent clean shower/bathroom with good towels and toiletries. There was no hairdryer but I had my own. The breakfast on our first morning (a fiesta) was excellent with fresh o.j. toast , jam, fruit pastries and plenty of good coffee. On subsequent mornings we were given breakfast of coffee and huge croissants in the hotel cafe (as there were very few hotel guests). The service was always friendly and helpful. There was secure parking included too. The hotel is a little dated but it is clean and spacious. We thought that it was absolutely fine and good value for money, we would go back.

  • Liked — The huge room and the fab veiw
  • Disliked — It is a little dated

This is the first time I've felt the need to write a negative review here.
We drove 900miles through Galicia, stopping where we pleased. A Coruna
province, we soon discovered was very different from the rest of Galicia,
a welcoming and friendly region of Spain off the beaten track.

Our night in Pontdedueme's Hotel Eumesia was by far the worst,
its rated 3stars, but was worse than all the one stars we had stayed in.
It was overpriced, run-down, in a noisy spot, the breakfast included was
slight, and the staff were miserable. Avoid Coruna province and enjoy what
the rest of Galicia, head South for the Rias Baixas.
