We were spending a few days in Bilbao and decided to go to Portugalete to see the Iron Bridge called Ponte Colgante. The undeground took us there and on the walk from the tube station to the actual Iron Bridge site, we stopped by at this bar which was just opening at that time in the morning. We got in for a cup of coffee. Nice place. Then, fresh from the kitchen, their pintxos appeared. Wow. What a variety and how big they were! We asked the guy for the price and they were about 1.50 each. We decided to go back for lunch, after the visit to the bridge and a walk in Getxo. Well, we would do that again 1000 times. The place is absolutely a family thing, they mostly speak euskera, not spanish. But the language of food is universal. They are ready to help you to understand the ingredients. The place has tables so you don't have to use the barra if you don't fancy that. No waiters, you just walk to the barra and pick the toothpick you wish. They'll ask you what you had right before the bill. Go there!
