“Excellent setting overlooking las arenas spain”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

This hotel is so beautiful especially if you have one of the views facing el puente Colgate. They serve delicious meals and an American and European breakfast. Rooms and service are exceptional. I have stayed there and also invited friends to dinners, too. Please visit and you will enjoy!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the puente Colgate and las arenas Getxo side

We stayed at this hotel again. last time was very good & so was this. Room was clean & comfortable; and staff friendly & helpful. We had a lovely meal in the bar, as suggested by barman, the asparagus was fantastic. Not the cheapest meal you will get; but you get what you pay for. Great walk by the river. Only complaint is €15 for parking overnight. Very convenient for the ferry in the morning.

Room Tip: If you need parking make sure you book it. Ask for a room overlooking the river,

Recently stayed here for a couple of weeks. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful, rooms of a good standard and kept clean and tidy. Only had the opportunity to have 1 evening meal during my stay and found it very reasonably priced and enjoyable. The continental style breakfast was however a bit boring and predictable, although cooked breakfast was available on request.
Ideally situated for people watching and enjoying reasonably priced wine at sundowners, Sunday evenings were entertaining with the local dance being held under the trees next to the patio.
Parking in the hotel underground car park proved to be rather expensive as was the hotel laundry service.
However, all being taking into consideration, with a wee bit of effort this hotel could easily pass as a 4 star establishment.

Stayed for one night prior to catching the Bilbao-Portsmouth ferry. Good location with view overlooking bridge and waterfront promenade. Hotel was very good value even with the 15euro parking fee. Lots of bars nearby. Ate at hotel, limited vegetarian choice and they were not able to provide an additional portion of chips, even though they were available with other options. However staff were friendly although speaking limited English. Good place to stay, next time we might even try to spend an additional day exploring the city.

Stayed with my Wife early Sept. for 2 nights.

Lovely position Riverside / under Bridge.

Great welcome from reception staff - Warm / Freindly / Helpful.

Unfortunately this does not apply to Bar / Restaurant staff who leave a lot to be desired in both attitude & manner.

The Rooms were both Clean & Functional and ours had a wonderful view over the river.

They have a lovely terrace overlooking the Square & River and great to sit there with a glass of wine which was reasonably priced.

Considering this Hotel is some way from Bilbao City centre we felt the rooms a little expensive.

WARNING !!!!! If you are looking for a Restaurant near to the hotel you will struggle as we could not find ANY in the surrounding streets.

There are numerous Bars selling PInchos and on our first night enjoyed quite a wide variety of these together with some excellent Wines.

On our 2nd. night we again tried in vain to find a restaurant and ended up back at the Hotel for Dinner.

Residents have an inclusive menu offered @ 16 Euros but having spoken to other guests it did not come recommended.

We therefore chose from the A La Carte and although not overly expensive would have to say was fairly ordinary.

One MAJOR plus is the Hotel underground parking which in this area is invaluable.

I would at present rate the Hotel Average to Good but with a few little tweaks it could be GREAT

Only stayed here one night but found it to be clean and stylish. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to bring our dog also which was vital as we were travelling. The dinner from the hotel restaurant was tasty. We had been given vouchers for dinner but found that the food on the voucher menu didn't seem as appealing as the main menu, in the end it also came out cheaper for us.
Was exactly what we needed for a one-night stop over in Bilbao.

saw this hotel advertised on a website stating location for ferries, and they were right.

good underground parking, although a little tight parking the jeep.

lovely reception overlooking the river and the bridge, with the bar next to it.

we were going to ask for a river view ,but overheard the man on reception tell someone they were fully booked.

we got our room,118 and it had the best view of the bridge. perfect.

we got a twin/double room and it was very well decorated , with mini bar and tv. bathroom was clean and plenty of towels.

we used the bar/restaurant and had tapas. food was good. we had a bottle of rioja which was good.

overall we would definatly use the hotel again. hope this helps
