We stayed in La City only one night as we had to catch a train early morning so it was really convenient (just across the street from the RENFE station). The room was quite big and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Apart from the train station the main shopping streets are within walking distance and the same refers to bars and restaurants. You get the same price when booking online (on hotel's official page and via booking.com) as when appearing at the reception. Altogether - it can be recomended!

having had our passports stolen in BENIDORM we were sent here by Alicante Tourism Dept. An amazingly friendly hotel, very helpful to us. Just a walk around the corner to the British Consulate office if you end up needing their services. Everything very handy, hotel is spacious and spottlessly clean, would def stay here again if in this area.

Stayed in this hotel for four nights through work. All we needed was a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and a basic continental breakfast. This little hotel fulfilled all our requirements perfectly. The minimal staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. It's location was perfect as it was close enough to the centre and aswell as the harbour. If you are looking for a no frills base to a city centre break, this is the perfect place for you!

Clean hotel, room small but comfortable. 20 minute walk from old town, need to walk there for restaurants etc. Shopping area. Good value for money, but a bit far from bars etc at night. Staff pleasant and helpful. Nice buffet breakfast, good value for money compared to what you get in the town. Decent hotel,

I stayed here on my last night in Alicante as I had to catch a noon train the next day up to Madrid. The hotel is located directly across from the train station so is an excellent location for late risers like me who do not want to risk missing a train. ;-) As the hotel is right down town, there are numerous bus stops within easy walking distance and the central tram station of Luceros is only about 300 metres away so again, this is a great spot for anyone relying on public transit. The front desk staff were very friendly and all spoke fluent Engish. Also, the marina and beach are a pleasant 20 minute walk or so through town. All in all, this is a great spot for either a short term stay or even as a base for anyone wanting to stay in Alicante for a few nights.

Just got back from a long weekend break having stayed here with friends. We shared a room to keep costs down (rooms are charged per room not per person) which worked well, the room was big enough to accommodate all 3 of us comfortably.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and although it's on a road and near to the train station there was minimal noise. We stayed on the 6th floor so were quite high up and therefore further away from the traffic, however we had metal shutters outside the window which although were not particularly attractive they help to keep sound out if needed and also worked as blackout shutters if you didn't want the light from the sun waking you.

The main criticism of the hotel was the smell of smoke in the room when we got there - we had to air the room and even at the end of our 4 days stay the smell hadn't completely gone.

The hotel is over the road from train station, which we found useful to help us find the hotel and use it as a landmark to travel around when using taxis and the airport bus.

There is no 'luxurious' facilities such as a pool, spa or gym facilities, however we didn't need these and were happy to go with 'cheap and cheeful'.

Unfortunately It's not next to the beach but is only a 20min walk away which we didn't mind too much considering the hotel was so reasonable compared to the beach hotels which were considerably more.

We found the staff so helpful, we were always greeted with a smile and were given great recommendations on where to eat!

If all you want is a reasonable, basic but clean place to put your head down for a few nights then I would definately recommend La City

This is a medium sized hotel just across the road from the railway station. The rooms are clean and well appointed and the bathroom was well up to standard. The staff are helpful and speak very good English, so no chance of me practicing my Spanish, lucky for them! Front desk pointed us in direction of a nearby bar where we ate well.
Good value rooms. Recommended.
