The complex is simply stunning, the gardens are lush and green and with great views of one of the two pools or the golf course. The apartments are ultra modern, and comfortable, very spacious and clean. On the whole it is good value for money, and if I come again I will need to be a little better prepared.
The positives:
Bright spacous apartment
Washing machine, tumble drier and dishwasher
Full fridge and freezer
Large natural looking pools
Helpful reception and maintnance (electronic safe failed on a daily basis, we gave up in the end)
Beautiful gardens

The negatives
No welcome pack, so there is absolutely nothing at all (salt, tea, coffee etc). You will need to buy everything you may need.
No cloths for washing up, no liquid or dishwasher tablets
No tea-towels
Apartments noisey
No wifi in the room or pool area
No parasols around the pool
Limited kitchen supplies, no roasting dishes for the oven, only 2 sauce pans and one very small frying pan.
Too few kitchen utencils
Limited furniture on a spacious terrace (only two little chairs)
No washing line or airer to hang beach towels or costumes despite separate utility area (outside)
Pool areas can be very noisy , sound seems to echo like in a sound chamber!!

With very little effort this place could be so much better. On the surface it looks stunning, but then you realise it has been done on the cheap to equip it with essentials which really let it down.

Room Tip: The rooms vary greatly. Ground floor have open terraces but are secluded by bushes etc, some top flo...

We stayed here for five days Aug 13, and yes a car is a must if you want out and about, however if you want quality time with young children and don't want to spend lots of money this is the place to go. The apartments are comfortable, spacious and very well equipped . Visit the supermarket a few miles away, fill your fridge and freezer and cook what you fancy when you fancy it, play with your children by either of the two safe pools or the small play park. The pool side and play areas are grassed and safe. The hotel provides floats and other toys for the kids. No smoking or glass is allowed at the pool and apart from ice cream and snacks there is nothing much to spend money on.
There is no entertainment for older children or adults at this complex and unless you enjoy a good book I the sun you may become bored very quickly, so a car is a must.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice

good: spacious apartment, 2 bathrooms, nice kitchen, washing and drying machine, dishwasher, comfortable distance to Alicante/ Elche/ Benidorm/ beaches/ supermarket; microwave oven

bad:- poor signalized on the road (the GPS data may be useful)
- no privacy for the ground apartment's terrace
- no help from the reception to get to the apt.
- not enough dishes/ mugs/ forks/ knives (family of four)
- no coffee filter (there was something like an ancient coffee maker, not electric, with old molded coffee in it)
- no corkscrew (bought it at Mercadona supermarket)
- no hairdryer (got it from the reception)
- no ironing machine (got it from the reception too)
- no changing beds (unless asked the maid; apparently every 2 days!)
- matresses not very comfy
- dirty tables and chairs at breakfast area
- dirty pool
- muddy area around the pool
- NO wi-fi in room (only at the reception area)
- almost spanish channels only (+BBC and 2 german channels)
Advices: need a car, liquid for washing machine and dishwasher, soap (just a little bar of soap from the hotel)

Room Tip: avoid the suites around the big pool (noisy long into the night because of the restaurant)

Stayed here again as had been before and large pool was great for kids. This time the water was so unclear you could not see the bottom of the pool. This was probably dangerous for accidents in pool due to lack of visibility on water. Someone might hit their head and if on bottom of pool would not be seen. A bit of maintenance and appropriate use of chemicals such as a simple chlorine shock treatment and buffer would take care of it. Disappointing and won't be back.

Hi, we stayed here end June for a week, we read the reviews and thought it was a really nice place. we took note of the review about hiring a car. The place itself is really nice, the apartment would be perfect if they just placed maybe an extra 10% more effort in. A car is required as 10 minutes in the car is a large carrefour supermarket, perfect. When you arrive late at night you ask is there anywhere to buy drinks and food and you are directed to a vending machine or the mini bar in your fridge!! As i mentioned if they placed a bit more effort in the place it would be perfect. The patio area of the apartment would be nice if they had sun loungers. The kitchen facilities are extremely limited. The swimming pool is not blue as the pictures would have you believe, and whilst we were there having lunch one day, 3 children cut their feet in front of our eyes!! Also if you want to avoid the sun, you have no options here, no parasols around only shaded areas was a few trees which were already taken up. As i say a lovely place just a few tweaks and it would be perfect, enjoy!!

I am writing this from the sofa in one of the apartments. They are by far the nicest self catering apartments I've stayed at. Its just what we wanted but wish now we had followed advice from other reviews about hiring a car. We got a taxi into the town Torrellano for the super market and im really surprised of the lack of english that is spoken, infact in Alicante too. But its there country so its up to them.
To summarize the apartments are lovely but hire a car :-)

Not long back from our one week stay at the El Plantio golf resort in Alicante and I must say I was very very impressed for the cost. The apartment was clean, airy, light and a good size. All the appliances were all new and high-tech and all the windows/patio doors have the electric blind gates. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and there is a fridge and freezer. IMPORTANT- DO NOT eat or drink ANY food/drink that they provide in the fridge and shelves as everyone knows mini-bars are extortionate.
The showers and en-suite were really nice. The en-suite was a wet-room style bathroom and had a nice sliding frosted door. There is also a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer- extremely handy!!

The airport is close by and the town is not too far by transport but I highly recommend hiring a car before arriving at this resort. The bus stop is on the left next to the roundabout at the end of the motorway( Takes about a 10 minute walk or 20 minute if with kids, lol). It's not sign-posted so just look out for the bus stop timetable which faces the cars coming onto it.

Taxis cost about €12 to the centre. The bus ( line number 90) costs about €1.50 and stops at the bus terminal which is a short walk away from the centre. Walk along from the bus stop and you will arrive at the lovely marina and kids carnival play area.

There are two swimming pools- one by blocks 1 and 2 and the other is at the blocks next. The pool at the other blocks is longer but much narrower and in my opinion not as nice but there is a small kids play area (swings, climbing frame etc there). The block 1&2 pool has a kids swimming pool within the bigger pool. The pool itself is nice enough (deepest point is 142cm). Very relaxing and quiet around the pool aside from the odd noisy kid but that was kinda cute and funny. There are enough sun loungers for all since not all guests come out at once but even so the grass is nice enough to lie on. The seats and sofas by the bar are nice too- all in the shade and the food is quite tasty. I recommended the Toscado chicken baguette- very yummy! The food menu is the same throughout the day.

Summary- very nice hotel but in the middle of nowhere with no shops so definitely hire a car.
