“Good Location-Clean Hotel”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Stayed with wife for 3 nights. Not very far from Alicante Terminus Rail Station-Around 6 Euro by Taxi or if baggage is light one can take Tram-very clean and comfortable-from Luceros about 100metres across the road.Get down at Mark Castillo 3 stops away-walk out of the station and Hotel is right in front . Nice welcome, quick check-in, excellent and helpful staff.Very clean and comfortable rooms with a nice Balcony with good View.Good Breakfast with a wide choice of food.I also took Buffet Dinner at the Restaurant one night. At around 15Euro is was also good.the pool with snackbar is also ok but depth of the water (at 1.6 metres) maynot be comfortable for some people.Postiguet beach is walking distance-about 5 min. down a sloping road. One thing I liked most is the easy and cheap transport by tram upto Benidorm and beyond with many beautiful beaches from Mark Castillo stop near the hotel. We enjoyed our stay here and will surely come back in future.

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff. It has a nice pool & gym facilities. It's about 5 minutes walk to the beach & a further 10 mins walk to the main bar/restaurant area by the Esplanade.

The room & ensuite were fine, with housekeeping attending the room each day. I had a nice view of the sea from my room.

Taxi to hotel from airport costs approx €20

The price of the room was reasonable & accurately reflected the facilities & the short distance from the beach & bars.

I stayed with a friend at Hotel Maya for three nights. It is ok for a three star hotel. I personally did not enjoy the buffet breakfast however my friend really liked it. I would have preferred more selection of food as it became very samey. It was a shame that upon our arrival the receptionist was quite rude and grumpy, however thankfully other staff were more helpful. It is only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach and about 20 minute walk to the town. Bear in mind that the pool doesn't open until mid morning so you might want to head down to the beach, as you probably wouldn't get a sun bed around the pool anyway as it is too small! Our room had a fantastic view of the sea and castle next door. Although if you like lots to do and see I wouldn't stay here as there is not much to do. We purely wanted a relaxing holiday so it suited us fine for this holiday, however it would have been nice to have a bar near by or more things to do in the evening. Overall the hotel was very clean although it does like its aircon up very high!

Mediocre hotel. Enjoyed my stay with friendly staff, clean rooms and nice view from my room.
However, the breakfast buffet is not to brag about. All in all fine experience. Wouldn't mind going back.
Note: during summer, the sun at the pool will show up very late, so enjoy the day at the beach until around 13:00.

Just got back from a 3 night weekend stay at this hotel. On arrival easy and helpfull check in .Very clean hotel and large spacious rooms .Excellent and varied buffet breakfast in a clean and spacious dinning area, Didn't use the pool as the beach is only a pleasant 10 minute walk away and the center of the old town only 15 minute walk. Helpful staff on checkout and late checkout given for a moderate charge. Would go back to this hotel again

Although this hotel is graded as 3 star our short stay was very good. The rooms were very clean with complemntary shampoos, soap showergel etc.the
Staff were very friendly and attentive. We had a 15min walk down to the Mariner but it was almost all on the level.Breakfast was buffet style but included English style as well as continental. The bill, dirt cheap all in all for a budget break we couldn't find anything to not enjoy. Johnny G

This great hotel is approx 15mins from airport in taxi €20-25. Extremely clean and fresh, pool tiles and area fresh and clean also .
5min walk to beach, easy access to cross the road as there are several zebra crossings and a spiral walkway across the main road which lead to a beautiful sandy beach.
Breakfast was fine, ok for a short break but might get abit boring for a week stay. Large mall across the road with everything you could wish for, cheap too.
Fran on reception was very helpful and pleasant - however there is also a grumpy older man (didn't wear a name badge funnily enough!) but don't let that put you off .
We were lucky to visit on the Spanish Festival weekend so fireworks and superb atmosphere in the town and on the beach on a night.

Downfalls - pool not open until 10am !! I'm an early bird and would of loved to have read my book by the pool before 10, sun doesn't go by pool until about 11-11.30 ish so perhaps that's why ?
The walls are very thin so if you have noisey neighbours like we did then no sleep for you, a few people complained and management went up to the room straight away .
Letting a large group of what I thought looked like a football team into the pool one of the days was not good, took the pool over and very noisey - however once a complaint went in they all disappeared.
I would recommend this hotel
