This hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The rugs are filthy, stained, and smell of humidity and mould. Why they put carpeting in a beach hotel (in the heart of the ceramic tile industry) is beyond me. The hotel is independently owned and the owner is cheaping out on renovations. The reception summer staff is mostly young people who are not trained in hospitality, working as seasonal interns, for very little pay and there is no incentive for follow through.
I specifically asked for a FIRM mattress, in the booking details and BOTH mattresses on BOTH beds were flimsy and old. I put in a request with the reception to have something done, even a plywood board would have sufficed but our two requests were ignored. The sun chairs by the pool are the plastic hardware store variety and broke on several occasions as did the sun umbrella that fell on my head! The doors on the closets and bathroom (as well as the gym change rooms) have severe black mould and water damage and did not close properly as a result of the puffiness from years of excess humidity. Meals are adequate at best. This hotel is advertised at 4 stars but it's a 2 star at best.More
