After a short drive on a narrow road we arrived at the Rancho. A very pretty, peacefull place! We were welcomed by Jorgen and a couple of very sweet dogs. After a cool drink and trying on some helmets, we got up on our horses. We learned the basics of horse riding, since this was my boyfriends' first time on a horse and my first time since 15 years.
A couple of minutes later the hack started, which went through the beautifull valley!

Yes, the horses may sometimes try to eat, but it's up to you - or in this case, us - to show the horse who's boss. And since we were beginners, the pace was slow. But there are also very nice options for more advanced riders.

After the hack, Jorgen welcomed us back with a cold beer, some nice tapas and good advice about what we could do in that part of Spain / which places we really should visit.

Conclusion; if like animals and beautiful surroundings, this hack is perfect for you! Even if you've never sat on a horse before.

We wish Tanja and Jorgen all the best and are looking forward to visit them next year!

Great set up with Tanya and Jochan. My friend and I wanted a chilled horse ride. She is very experienced I am a novice so just wanted a horse trek. Horse's wonderful really well looked after. Mine was so well behaved not a wrong move. Jochan picked us up from hotel took us to ranch. Began in the paddock then hacked along lanes taking in the beautiful scenery of fruit trees and mountains with Tanya. On our return Jochan served delicious tapas freshly prepared with a cold beer before returning us safely to our hotel. Well recommended loved it

We have just returned from Alicante where we spent a week. We went to Rancho La Ofra as our daughter has been asking to go on a horse trek for ages. We picked this one because the costs was good and the trek was 2.5 hours which gave a good amount of time to enjoy the amazing scenery and walk that we were taken on. We arrived early an the owners were very helpful, the horses were all ready to go and because we were not advanced we were taken around the paddock to get used to how to control the horses better before setting off on the road. The set up there is amazing, the horses look very well looked after. The walk trek we did was for beginners and was a perfect for us. It was a great day out in beautiful weather. When we got back we had a snack of chorizo, tomatoes, bread etc and a beer or juice and we sat in the beautiful setting and chatted with the owners. They also gave us a few good tips on places to visit up in the hills which we did and we enjoyed an amazing apple strudel at one of the places that was recommended at the top of a hill with breathtaking views. All round it was a fantastic day out and now my daughter is even more determined for a horse, haha

brillaint exeprience. The place was beautiful, we enjoyed every single moment of the ride. horses are well maintained and well trained. 2 hours long ride through the picturesque valley, side by side a small river was very refreshing. Our trainer was well informed and gave us loads of information for the area around. After the ride we had nice Tapas. Host were were friendly and suggested more locations around the place to visit. overall we loved the entire experience.
