It's the costa Blanca, It's clean and there are sensational Tapas bars along the front. Great and busy beach with a lot more Spanish influence than most.

we access the beach from our rented bungalow that we got via owners direct and the lovely and helpful owner Dee.
we walk to the beach down a tarmac footpath in between the sand dunes and nature reserve, perhaps 300 metres distance, certainly no more than 8-10 minutes amble. we come out slap bang between La Mata and Guardamar, this section has a life guard and a beach bar with the usual basic beach foods like hot dogs, burgers, chips and toasted cheese sandwiches.
The beach itself is a lovely flat sandy beach with plenty of depth and once you move away from the life guard area a few metres then there is way more than enough clear sandy beach directly in front of the water which you want when having little ones in the sea.
The sea is mostly calm and the depth is very shallow for at least 30+ metres, there is generally an on shore breeze which pushes lilos back onto the beach allbeit further down so you need to watch the little ones do not end up a 100 metres further up the beach from you. We used the tall life guard chair as the base for the kids to watch and if they drifted beyond one side of it they had to come back to us again.
there are rental chairs and umbrellas as always here and the price is only 3.50 euro per item which is not bad compared to Ibiza!
This beach is great for little ones up to 12 years of age, teenagers might not like it that much as there is little music and wild party's going on.
well worth a visit, we have come to this area many times and have never been disappointed.
Further towards Guardamar there is a huge white hotel (Hotel Playas Del Guardamar) which frankly looks awful inside and out, they have to split the food feeding times into two shifts and the rooms look like prison cells from the outside so personally I would stay away from there!
There are three funkier beach bars playing music and serving drinks and food in front of this hotel, they have much better double beds with four posts and sun screen netting, very Ibiza.
There is also a decent kids play area on the beach beside the bars too if the kids get bored in the sea.
Guardamar is a pleasant beach town with a nice park and some green squares which come to life in the evenings so great for stroll, food and the kids playing on swings and in play areas.

Great beach. White sand that stretches for miles. You can walk further and find a quiet spot and it's great for children. My little girl loved it. Very clean as well.

Looked after we'll and many beach men and woman life guards. Lots of topless woman so you need to be aware of that if that's not your thing but we love it. Myself and family when we resided in gran Alicante x
