“Short stay in alienate”
Reviewed 12 September 2013

My daughter and I went for 3 days to Alicante. We stayed in the Rambla apart across the road from Hotel Rambla. Our flight was late, we were charged 28e because it was after 8pm, a bit much as we were not told. I had read on trip advisor there was no kettle so took one with us, but there was no hair dryer and no cups. A good sized room, clean with TV and WFI. We did not find any good restaurants, but in 3 days we did not have time to have a good look and there was no recommendations from other reviews. We went to both shopping centres, not good but Alicante wasn't bad. I would go again as location was super 5min walk from beautiful beach and near enough to city centre.

Very clean, comfortable hotel right in the center of Alicante.
10 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the night bar scene.
Room had all essential equipment (WiFi, flat TV, minibar), decorated
with a modern style.
Staff was most helpful, providing advice on places to visit and
restaurant to try.
I will definitely return for my next visit to Alicante.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with "mirador", overlooking the Ramblas. Or ask for large back rooms - very...

the hotel was in a great location for the beach/bars/shopping the first room we were allocated had a terrible view so we managed to change rooms on our 3rd day for a room with a balcony and view of the sea and main street, the staff were very helpful in that respect, the only down side to the room was that there was no kettle to have a coffee first thing there was a breakfast room but the coffee machine was out of order, other than that we would return to the hotel for its great location.

I stayed in the hotel at the end of June. When we have arrived around 6 o clock we went straight to the city for dinner/walking around. Great atmosphere, got few drinks and came back to the room around 23:30. It was a festival period, so all the funny staff (fireworks)was starting at midnight but we were too exhausted and came back to the hotel earlier. To our surprise there was a guy with a pillow and key standing in front of our door and it look like he was just about to get in/out from there. He explained that there was a pillow missing from our room and he came to replace it. I was really shocked as I do not usually get a room service at this time of the night! We were a bit drunk so we have not really asked about anything as we had all our expensive things with us (camera/wallets/phones) and we left only few clothes in the room. As the guy left I started to think and I remember that the pillow was definitely there before and who from the staff would remember 5 hours after check in that we should get a pillow in the middle of the night!!! I think he came at this time as it was obvious for the staff that we wouldn't come back just before fireworks to our room. I regret not asking for the name and not reporting to reception but I was too exhausted and nothing really happened but NEVER NEVER leave anything expensive in the room. Apart from that room was clean, and fine. We have got a really tiny window which was quite dark but we did not mind as it was only for few days and we were barely in the room. Nothing could be lost from our room as I am usually mega careful about leaving anything and carry everything valuable with me well hidden in my bag.

The Rambla was clean and room size was adequate, however the property is showing its age. Don't expect a very firm bed or a quite airconditioning system. But, the bathroom was adequate. Two best things about this hotel are the price and location. It is a block away from the the beautiful mosaic beach and port side promenade that is lined with interesting cafes and restaurants. We arrived Sunday and in the evening, the whole town turned out for a stroll. Interesting indeed!

This hotel is good for the price and the location. I had to travel with a broken ankle and it is very near from the beach (5mn walking).
Also people at the reception are very nice. They gave us messages when people called us.
I had a room in 5th floor with a small balcony. The noise from the street is not a problem. The window is double glass. The room was small and maybe the blankets are old but everything is clean. The only problem was the last night when we had very noisy neighbours and we could hear them shout. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel. The breakfast is only 4 euros per person but I took breakfast 5mn from there near the see for 2euros...

Room Tip: you need a room with balcony "pieza exterior". They are nicer

Just returned from a five night stay at the Hotel Rambla. Requested a quiet room on a high floor and got just that - spacious, comfortable room on fifth floor which was extremely clean - however no view at all from the window. Larger than average bathroom - shower was great with masses of hot water. The beauty of this hotel is its location - literally a two minute walk from the lovely beach and the marina and across the road from the old part of Alicante with its numerous tapas bars and restaurants. For the money we paid, I don't think we could have found a better place to stay. Didn't use breakfast facilities - lots of coffee shops to choose from nearby. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
