“Impressed!”
Reviewed 20 September 2012

me and my friend stayed for a couple of nights in September.
For the money paid I was impressed.

Rooms very clean, modern, cleaned well, plenty of toiletries.
We found the service good in the bar/restaurant.

We ate the Club sandwich for 12 Euros, maybe on the expensive side but worth it.
Did not use the pool area much as it was too hot up there.

Its only a 10/15 min walk to the Marina and City where you are spoilt for choices of places to at and drink.

The Marina is well worth a visit. Most bars had special offers of 2 pints of beer for 5 Euros.

This hotel is well worth the money

Spent a week with my wife in Alicante at this hotel, on the whole, a very pleasant experience. It is a few minutes walk from the centre of Alicante but that didn't bother us.

Found the room to be clean and staff to be helpful.

Downsides were the prices for food/breakfast which we found expensive in comparison to the town but this is a business focused hotel. The rooftop pool is nice but space around it is limited. If you wait around for a while at the pool, you'll get one of the sun loungers.

Just had a 5 day break 2nd visit, really enjoyed our stay, excellent value, not too far from town the walk is ok, love the local feel, would do again, very clean modern contempary, you could pay more for less. Approx 15 min walk from the centre town you can walk along the sea front all the way into town. We had a suite D322 fantastic, breakfast is continental and more than enough to start the day off.

Room Tip: Great local feel, excellent staff go enjoy!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and have never been disappointed. Yes the staff are a little rude but really that is just because their English isn't that good and the language barrier is difficult to overcome in certain circumstances. The rooms are all modern and clean and airy, the free drinks in the mini bar are a nice touch and the pool area is small but perfect for a dip at the end of a day sight seeing or at the beach. The hotel's location is a little way out and there isnt a view from any of the rooms that is decent but its actually a really nice stroll to the centre so i wouldn't call it a negative thing. Breakfast was high quality and a fab selection.

Room Tip: Highest floor possible so as to escape the traffic noise.

We checked in very late, past midnight, and despite being two single girls and having requested twin room in advance, we were allocated a room which was clearly for one person only with one smallish double bed, a wardrobe which was in the bathroom and, wait for it, no toilet or bathroom door!! A bit awkward to say the least. I requested a change but was told the hotel was fully booked (because the night receptionist was on his dinner break). In the morning I enquired again and we were changed to a decent size room with a view over the empty allotments next door, with some ants in there to keep us company.

The WiFi in the room is quite expensive (EUR12 for 24 hours) but has a good signal. It is free to use in the reception / lounge area and was quite. The complimentary soft drinks and water in the minibar are good, and apart from the ants, the room was pretty clean. Beds are on the hard side but the pillows were nice. The air conditioning is very efficient and will keep the room nice & cool. You need a key card to operate it and when we tried to leave one in the slot when we went out, the maid confiscated it. Teach us for not being eco-friendly! The continental breakfast buffet is good value at EUR12.95 per person and was open until noon on Sunday which was great.

The pool was tiny, I think it's quite hard to keep it clean given how small it is and how many people are using it, it was opaque with sunscreen and full of clumps of hair, sticking plasters etc which were not caught by the filters. Very few sun loungers but you can find some space on the decking. Bring your own towel as pool towels are not provided by the hotel.

For the price we paid, it was clean, reasonably accessible and good value, but not strictly up to 4 star standard.

Room Tip: Avoid room 720 which is without a door in the bathroom and toilet, and the shower floods the whole b...

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the AC Marriott for two nights in August. It's a 5 minute walk from the harbour, an extra 10 to reach the beach and other sights (via market stalls, parks, restaurants and pretty views). The initial area surrounding the hotel is not the prettiest (bit of a rubble site next door on one side) but we felt the quality and low price more than made up for it. We managed to get the cheapest price by not booking direct with the hotel but using search sites instead (we saved £20 a night by doing this and booked the day before we arrived).

The room was well furnished in whites, wood, and dark greys. My boyfriend thought it was a touch office-like but I felt it had a high quality finish. The free mini-bar was neatly stocked with about 8-10 bottles of refreshing and cold soft drinks/water.

The lobby décor was nice and stylish and we accessed the free wi-fi in the lobby with no problem. The pool area was a little small and they could do with some extra sunbeds. Each day we spent about an hour lying on towels on the wood floor before we were able to grab a sunbed as another couple left. At least there was always some room for us both though-even if on the floor. The pool bar was good and the staff very friendly and happy, mojitos were thoroughly enjoyed at 6euro each.
