With 5 friends, we stayed for one night. Great location in a lovely square. Great triple room overlooking the square and very good value for money. Staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend and would book here again. We didn't have meals here and loads of options for breakfasts nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the square

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at this splendid Hotel. The location is perfect being so close to the promenade and the Old Quarter where we like to stroll looking for nice interesting eateries and bars. However, things didn't quite get off to a good start when on arrival I asked for a room overlooking the Plaza. No wish to bore you with the full details but suffice to say the very helpful receptionist pulled out all the stops and managed to get us a room overlooking the Plaza but whilst in the process of arranging for a room to be prepared, some cretin (in a group who had just booked out?) stole the Hotel mobile phone used exclusively for communicating with the chambermaids. Even so, after a short couple of hours wait (whilst we went off for a very nice lunch) a room was made available immediately on our return. All the staff we met at the Mediterranea Plaza were extremely polite, helpful and are a great credit to the Hotel.

The room and bathroom were both very clean and in excellent decorative order. Mini Bar, Flat Screen TV (with CNN & BBC News), Mini-Safe (key from reception), excellent A/C which was essential during our stay as the day time temperature peaked to the mid 30's! Shower/Tub was great and shampoo was changed daily. No complaints whatsoever on room cleaning. The bed was, shall we say firm, but fine by me. Didn't use the breakfast facilities as we like to 'go alfresco' and use local Cafes/bars etc. This is our 3rd visit to Alicante and we had previously stayed at the Hotel Hospes Amerigo just a 100metres further down. However, we will be returning to the Eurostars Mediterranea Plaza on subsequent visits.

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the Plaza to view the 'dancing waters' and watch the children play...

Stayed here for 3 nights with my Wife as we were enjoying a city beak to Alicante.
This is a great central hotel, with helpful staff.
Ask for a room overlooking the beautiful square, becasue at night time you also see the castle lit up.
We didnt have any meals here, but it is so conveniently located to walk to the front promenade and the many shops and Restaurants.
There is a bus that takes you from the front (200yards) from Hotel to the airport for about £3.50 euros. So it is easy to leave your luggage at the hotel for the last day and simply catch your BUs near to flight time.
Would stay here again

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the square

Fantastic hotel, one block back from the promenade, opposite the beautiful and atmospheric town hall. We had a room overlooking the square with a balcony which was fantastic. Views of the Castillo too - just great.

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for its superb triple rooms and excellent location. It is very close to the lovely clean beach, main esplanade and Marina. Well worth getting the public bus from the airport for less than 3 euros each, as the last stop on the route is about 2 mins away from the hotel. One of the best things is the view over the square if you're lucky enough to have rooms that face this direction, especially on a Saturday when you get to see all the couples getting married! We can't wait to go back!

We spent 7 nights in this hotel. On arrival reception staff were friendly and helpful. Free wifi in the room. Room was good with a superb view from the balcony overlooking the fountains and the Town Hall, with the Castle in the background. Breakfast was good, a choice of the usual meats, cheeses, fruits and also hot food available. A very short walk led you to the main street which in turn led to the train station with very easy links to places such as Benidorm if you fancy a change of scenery, the route takes you along the beautiful coast line and takes around 1 hour 15 minutes, very cheaply too. Lovely marina in Alicante with lots of good restuarants or even just nice to sit and have a drink or two. The only downside was that things tended to close from about 4-6 pm each evening so you had to either eat early or wait until evening, that could have just been a seasonal thing of course. I think in season the square at the front of the hotel could be quite noisy as it has bars underneath it and is situated opposite Town Hall and very near the Castle. All in all a very good hotel in a good location.

Perfect location for walking to the Castle, beach, museums, and old city. Our room was quiet and internet access good. Only issues were small ones: the bed and bedding were terrible, poor quality and uncomfortable. Room cleaning was sketchy. Breakfast was good and the reception staff wonderful and helpful. No restaurant or bar but plenty of those are available nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for: una habitacion tranquillo en un piso alto
