Stayed with family for a 2 day break in Alicante, chose hotel from previous reviews, No there is not tea making facilities and lift only takes 4! But hey, what a location, close to beach, bus stop, tram stop, casino, harbour, resteraunts and bars. And the best thing about this hotel is the view from the roof terrace at night of the castle on top of the mountain....stunning!
Rooms were very clean, bathroom, clean, and staff were very helpfull, all for £50 per night for a double or a twin. Lovely Sunday markets up the mosaic palm tree lined promenade, and quirky little boot sale type stall outside the hotel on a Sunday.
Highly reccomend the resteraunt on the harbour 'Arroceria Marisqueria', great food and wine at a reasonable rate and very friendly staff.
Must do.......bus trip up to the castle on top of the mountain, the views are amazing! If you feel energetic, maybe walk down!
Hotel has a sauna on the top floor, bus ride from airport is easy, 20 minutes and about 3.50 euros
Loved this hotel and Alicante, would go back when its a tad warmer :)

Just spent a night at this hotel. The service was second to none. The staff were extremely helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and I loved the bath towels - soft and big not like the skimpy ones you usually get. Breakfast was very good and it was served until 11 on Saturday morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel for few nights in August. The location couldn't be any better - close to the beach, casino and to the shops, also surrounded by bars and restaurants. Very clean hotel, quiet and friendly. Only the swimming pool was missing...

The staff was very nice and helpful, the only problem was with their internet. We had to do some work and our laptop was losing the internet connection few times a day. Every time we had to ask the receptionist to re-start the router, which they didn't mind doing. But you wouldn't expect that in a 4* hotel.

On overall pleasant stay, I would recommend and would go back again.

This is a small hotel, ideally situated for access to both the beach and the old town. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. We stayed for 7 nights in room 207 which overlooked what can only be described as a typical Spanish square with superb views. The breakfast was adequate and we have to say that the waitress was the most efficient and genuinely friendly person one could meet. The Suana and the Gym all worked well. There are other hotels in the area and after checking some of them out, we felt that Mediterranea Plaza offered the best value. Definitely we will be back.

This hotel is in the perfect location in Alicante! It is a 2 min walk from the beach and the marina where there is loads of bars restaurants and a casino. The room we stayed in was average to say the least. It was clean but it had a poor quality laminate wooden floor which I have never seen in a hotel before. The hotel did have free wifi but it was quite slow.

stayed here for only 1 night so we needed to be very close to everything and it did not disapoint. The hotel was close to the beach, the castillo de santa barbara, all the restaurants and cafes and to top it all off the view from our hotel room was just incredible. I noticed that some of the rooms are at the back of the building which faces a brick wall so you should request a room looking over the Plaza.

My only problem with this hotel is that the decor seems really dated, everything was fine, really clean and everything you needed they have but no wow factor apart from the view.

Guess you don't ned to change anything when you have a view like that!

We stayed here last weekend for a romantic break without the kids. The location of the hotel is beautiful. we had room 406, which had lovely view across the square and beautiful town square. The location is great for the beaches only a few mins walk and the old town where there are lots of street bars and cafes, is only a 2 minute wal away. There is a little cafe downstairs outside where you can get tea/coffee and a tostada for about 2 euros, less exciting than the buffet in the hotel but about 1/4 of the price per person. The room was large and although a tiny bot old fashioned it was perfect. had air con, lovely views, nice bathroom, big sofa (bed) and tv. Value for money and location is hard to beat... Going again next weekend. We parked at the port which should be 21 euros per 24 hrs but the hotel has a deal for 16 euros per night so make sure you pay at the hotel when you check out for your parking there. The hotel has no parking.
