Sinfonia de Roma in Dona Pepe was a good restaurant, with friendly staff. Went to the new venue. erm oh dear. I had my usual, Melon with Ham starter Pork escolopes for main has good as usual other than the chips , they were that salty totaly inedible. My guests, one chose Grilled Lamb Chops this came covered in a very yucky white mint sauce ( did not state this on the menu) and she was ill afterwards
my other guest had the worst pizza I had ever seen. he left most of it. One good thing the waiters were very good, friendly and helpfull. Would I go back with friends again. NO !! just not good enough, there are better places in that area for the same money

“Never again”
Reviewed 4 July 2013

Have been there several times, and for the money it was reasonable. The young Indian waiter was very helpful and polite, knew his job and we usually had a pleasant evening. Took friends there the other day what a disaster. Could not get through on the phone to make a booking, no answer!
When we did go in, we told Enrique (the owner) his answer, problems with the telephone being cut off. There were only 4 other people in the restaurant at 8.00 . The food was dreadful, in hindsight when the starters arrived we should of walked. Service, atmosphere, food all dreadful. To many other places around to give this place another chance. Will eat my hat, which probably tastes better than the soup I had if still open at the end if September.

“Such a shame!”
Reviewed 30 June 2013 via mobile

I had been a massive fan of this place when it was at the previous location. Always had good food, good service and a good atmosphere! Oh my what a difference!

The building is smaller than the last one and the outside area is also smaller.

The two waitresses had only been there a number of days, they did not know the menu, did not get our food order correct and did not even bring us cutlery. Saying that they was polite and friendly! At one point the boss turned up after having been shopping and started wheeling a trolley load of lidl food through the resturant including dried pasta and tinned veg!

We only got 3 salads instead of 6, the cappachio was tough and chewy the garlic bread with cheese was under cooked and doughy. When the main courses came out again the pizzas were very doughy and not cooked properly. They must of run out of sirlion steak as 3 people ordered a sirloin steak. Two of them were clearly sirlions being around half an inch thick and one appeared to be a beef steak and was only centimetres thick and chewy. When we sent it back they brought another one out that was only marginally thicker. After this the atmosphere changed, the boss man clearly had the hump at our complaint and did not apologise. Most of us left most of our dinners. At one point we was talking to some friends at another table and the boss man almost shouted at us saying "ok" "ok" pointing at the half eaten food. (I think we thought we was telling everyone how bad the food was) We made out dissatisfaction clear to the waitresses when she cleared our plates as by this point the manager had disappeared. Although she apologised nothing wa taken off the bill and there was no apology from the boss man.

Could not wait to get out of there!! So disappointed and sadly will not be going back!

“Very disappointing”
Reviewed 29 June 2013

Went to the restaurant for lunch, the food was cold and had no taste, service was very slow. Had to send back our soft drinks twice as they were flat.

“worst meal we have ever had”
Reviewed 20 June 2013

Should have known all was not well when we entered at 8pm and were the only customers. The food was awful the starters were lukewarm but were better than the main courses. Two of us had fish and the other two had steak. The fish choice was restricted as most of the fish on the menu was not available and when the chosen salmon was served it was so salty as to be inedible. The steak was underdone and not the advertised sirloin. The house wine was overpriced and there was a restricted choice of soft drinks.Only one other group of four entered the restaurant while we were there. The place has an air of a business about to go bust but even if it doesn't we www will certainly never go back there.
