Love this place - have stayed a few times and will be back. A fantastic find especially for families looking for quiet, practical but beautiful holiday accommodation. Great location to explore the Island.

I cannot recommend hotel migjorn enough. We have 2 young children and we absolutely loved it. The welcome we received from the owners was second to none, the suite was lovely and pool and gardens fantastic. The kids had such fun playing in the little play area and the vibe so child friendly that we were totally at ease. Make sure you hire a car to explore the beautiful beaches and small towns that surround the hotel. We loved colonia and ses covetes. The food was amazing in the hotel, the green salad, so moorish. The only area for improvement would be to serve breakfast from 0830 - our kids were up at 0600 so 0900 was a little late. For anyone looking at caserio del mirador (we stayed last year), that was fab but this is better! We are coming back!

We stayed last week at hotel migjorn and received fantastic hospitality from Albert and Yvonne. Facilities were very good. Breakfast was great.

There is a caviat though. This hotel is advertised on a baby friendly website and we were expecting a couples quiet retreat. Every other room but ours was taken by couples with babies and or preschool children which was a shock to the system as the agent had not flagged this when we booked. When changeovers occurred they were replaced with similar families. The hotel stated that most of their business was from couples with babies and young children as it is geared up for them. So if you want a quiet hideaway book somewhere else.

That said we had and enjoyable time. We Will give feedback to our booking agent.

Room Tip: Some have own terraces and balconies which are nice.

We stayed here for one week with our 2,5 year old boy and our 4 month old baby girl. Our boy loved it here, especially the space and the toys.
The hotel is mainly catered for families with young children and I thought the care was very good.
There are a few things which could be better. There is a very limited menu for lunch and dinner, especially if you're there for a week or longer. breakfast is excellent, but unfortunately doesn't get served before 9:00, which is quite late for small children. The room we had was very spacious, but it was very light. Especially for children the curtains need to be much darker or it needs a black out blind. Apart from this, we had a fantastic time and the people are lovely.

Just spent 7 days at the hotel and had a wonderful time, we have a 20 month old who loved the open space and all the toys around the pool, particularly the digger trucks!
The hotel has a very friendly atmosphere and the owners are very helpful and knowledge about the area. They arranged for my husband to hire a very good road bike, who hen enjoyed numerous hours cycling around the surrounding area.

We stayed a week mid July and had a wonderful time. The owners and their staff were excellent - always eager to help, provide suggestions and advice on places and their recommended restaurants to visit. Even with the hotel being almost fully booked (perhaps one empty), we didn't see any degradation of service, i.e. breakfast was always fully stocked even when we came down late, pool continuously cleaned throughout the day, gardener always around tidying things up, etc. It was certainly a beautiful boutique hotel experience and we really felt that welcome as we got to know each individual member of staff personally. All of the staff have been long, loyal servants with the daughter of the owners taking over when parents had their day off. The gardener was always cheery and would always wave to you in the pool. Even the cleaner was the mother-in-law of one of the staff. Albert, one of the owners, was really keen to try and get us a visit to one of the local vineyards. We weren't able to go in the end as they weren't open that day. He however recommended two great local restaurants (run by Mallorcan families as many are not run by true natives to Mallorca) to us and we ate like Kings. The accommodation is of a high standard - (suite 6) we had one really large bed with a separate junior bed for our son (very good quality bedding as well). The room was very big, running the entire width of the main house and was large enough to accommodate a very large, antique floor to ceiling double wardrobe with several drawers at the bottom, a large standing mirror, bedside tables and a large suitcase stool. The biggest plus during this hot period was the air conditioning units - one in the main bedroom and one in the living room. It was extremely efficient and would become cold very quickly. Ordinarily, we never use the air conditioning and certainly hate to sleep with it on but without it, it would have been unbearable as the temperatures were 35+ degrees. The ensuite bathroom was equally good and probably one of the largest out of all the suites. The living room was a very good size with dual aspect, equipped with a tv and dvd player which was great for our son. You didn't even need to bring your own DVDs as there was a well stocked library of these and books downstairs by reception - help yourself basis. There was ample room in the living room for a good sized table and chairs for lunch. The little kitchenette was also great - microwave (we never used it), fridge, and two hob rings with ample enough pans to cook a light snack or evening meal. We had a lovely balcony from which you could see part of the pool. We never heard any noise from the neighbours so the noise insulation was good. There was always at least one member of staff around Reception and staff to prepare food. We ordered a scrumptious cooked lunch on a good few days (order before a certain time but a good varied menu with great children options) - portions were very generous and difficult to finish. The bar is also opened and Greg and Albert would come around frequently by the pool to ask you if you wanted a drink. It was such a cheery, pleasant atmosphere, that you almost forgot you were in a hotel, i.e. more akin to someone's house. The cleaner comes in every day but you never felt disturbed. Even for breakfast, the staff were extremely helpful - we came down 30 mins early one day (usually not open until 9.30am or 9am - can't remember - really on holiday!) and they were still setting it out but "no problem, help yourselves. Do you want your usual breakfast drinks?" and then another top up volunteered. We also during our stay met with other families and had great chats. Our son made quick friends with the downstairs neighbours' children and we soon arranged to meet up at the pool in the afternoon. The pool was excellent with a set of graduated steps slowly going down into the pool at each end of the pool - and just the right temperature, even though not heated in the summer. It is heated out of season though. The landscape around the hotel is beautiful - lots of beautiful flowers, shrubs and well manicured grass. There is a seperate building after the pool which has another 6 suites. This building is one storey so each suite has its own private patio and garden with the two nearest the pool having direct access. At the other end of the pool, there is a toilet near to the breakfast and pool area and another toilet inside the main building at the far end. There is a lovely play area near the outside breakfast area so if children finish early, they can go a few steps to the side and play with the house and numerous toys and slide. There is also an indoor breakfast area. Inside the main building, there are two suites downstairs near the pool end and two directly above it. Near to the reception, there is a staircase to the other suites but these do not have any terrace or veranda. The owners also organise a weekly dinner for everyone which is lovely and there is also a dinner menu if you wish. We used this once but as it's not often used by other guests, it can be a quiet affair. There is also good ample parking outside the main building for cars. You absolutely need a car to get around as Mallorca is very beautiful but quite a rural island. There are very good roads but don't expect the roads to be lit up at night unless they are in towns. There are numerous activities and places to see - castles, aquarium, caves, dolphin shows, etc. Palma de Mallorca is worth a visit but in mid summer, even at 7pm it's very hot and still stuffy. Do go for a horse drawn carriage ride around the capital but do shop around for the price as it varies considerably from owner to owner - we paid 40 euros for a tour of the main areas (not port/habour or cathedral). The only one important thing to note is that almost all of Mallorca (except Palma de Mallorca) does not have tap drinking water as it's desalinated. If you stay near the Salt Plains you'll notice that the water is very salty. This was a bit of an issue for our son who wasn't used to it but the great thing about Hotel Migjorn is the fact that they have another drinking tap in the kitchen. All in all a tremendous stay and one of the best ever. Thank you Hotel Migjorn.

Room Tip: For a ground floor patio/terrace, choose one from the other building. For a dual aspect room, choos...

We have just returned from a wonderful stay a Hotel Migjorn. We visited in April and the weather was changeable but the properly heated outdoor pool meant that we were able to swim every day whatever the weather. The location was beautiful and the rooms/apartment were perfect for our family (2 year old and 5 year old). The rooms were tastefully decorated but not too ornate (we weren't constantly worried about our 2 year old breaking things). It is a family run hotel and everyone was great with the children. Breakfasts had enough variety to please everyone. Plenty of small local food markets and nice little restaurants in neighbouring towns and villages to get good local food too. Lovely beaches nearby and beautiful views of the countryside from our rooms. Great kids activities organised indoors for one of the less sunny days. All in all a perfect family getaway and wonderful base to explore Mallorca. Thanks to all at the hotel!!!
