We have used this restaurant over a number of years both for lunch & dinner and have never been disappointed. The food, service & professional staff have always meet our expectation. Nikki runs a relaxed restaurant with a warm friendly atmosphere that is not pretentious located in a lovely location. I would have no reservation in recommending people to try it out.

We have known - and enjoyed - Little Mere since we moved to the area in 2008, with visits ranging from dining a deux through birthday treats to 28 family and friends lunching to celebrate an 80th; but in 2013 six of us - old friends - agreed to dine together once a quarter. Without exception the food has been delicious, and although we always eschew a desert when initially ordering most of us inevitably succumb! The service is friendly and unobtrusive and the ambience relaxed and the prices realistic. For 2014 we are wondering whether we couldn't stretch to visiting every other month!

Have been several times in the evening, but wondered if quality/service would be different for a traditional sunday roast. One of us had beef, one lamb, and enjoyed both (got a Yorkshire pudding with each). Service was very good, and a also had a decent selection of wine and water to go with the meal.

One word sums up our most recent experience of this restaurant, quality with a capital q!

Classic & charming ambience, relaxed and discreet approach pre dinner from staff whilst taking an aperitif in the lounge, excellent menu that changes quite often to ensure your choices are never limited, supported by first class food cooked with aplomb and served with pride.

Good wine list that is realistically priced and offering a wide ranging choice.

In my experience, a real hidden gem that must be on your "must eat there" list when either living or visiting the area.

Together with a number of friends we have eaten at The Littel Mere on many occasions, both for lunch and dinner. The food is excellent, service first class with polite and professional staff, the ambience is also extremely good for a small Restaurant and there is a good selection of wines. Other restaurants in the area do not match up to this Establishment at all; and local pubs trying to match the food usually apply London type prices and their food still remains 'pub grub' let's be honest!!! Five stars to The Little Mere which we will always give our patronage.
