This cafe has changed hands a couple of times over the past few years but the current owners appear to be 'settled' and certainly have spent time and effort into redecorating and making the premises more attractive. It's amazing the difference a lick of paint can make! Foot fall through the door has increased to the extent that it can be very busy nowadays.
The menu is not extensive but nevertheless there is plenty to choose from, from breakfast through to afternoon tea plus a specials board. The food is good and the staff friendly - especially the more mature ladies (not knocking the youngsters by the way).
It might be helpful if they decided on a closing time - it currently appears to be determined by how busy they are but seems to be somewhere in the region of 4pm. Also it would be nice to know at what time they stop serving hot food - again this appears to vary on the say of the cook.
However I would certainly recommend this cafe for locals and visitors alike.
