I've lived in this area for 16 years and never visited this place to date. I thought it was about time and took my two sons aged 6 & 5 to meet a friend and her son. We got a family ticket which for just over £10 was good value.

The visitor centre has got a hot drink machine and snacks available. Toilets are clean and accessible.

There is plenty for the kids to look at and get involved in. There is a trail for them to do which gets them thinking. Clothes to dresss up in and an amazing table made out of lego!

It is a very interesting site but one thing my friend and I noticed is that the boards don't make it totally clear if you are looking at the original floor. We assumed so but perhaps that could be put on the information board.

There was a marquee with some seating inside so we were able to take shelter from the rain!

Worth a visit if you are looking for something to do but check opening day/times beforehand as not open every day.

It has a preserved roman floor of a once villa. This is most special thing about it. Apart from that it holds really good hands-on activities for school children to learn about all things Roman.

A beautiful and peaceful spot, but disappointingly little to see, although the owners have done their best to make the most of it with an interesting historical display.

I visited this attraction with family members on a sunny afternoon in June. There is a large field containing a few mosaic remains and a well. There are information boards at each point of interest. A small garden has been re-created , Roman-style, although the plants are not necessarily the ones mentioned on the information boards. There is a small exhibition which is interesting. An hour is long enough to visit this attraction. There is a small admission fee so it is value for money. However I would combine a visit with pursuing other activities in the area.
