We stopped by this cosy pub on a Saturday lunchtime. The fact that it was very busy despite being in a small village in the countryside is a positive sign.
We were warmly greeted and served quickly. They have a good menu and some specials. We opted for the seabass, tapas board and coronation chicken sandwich and I can heartily recommend each of these choices. I had the sandwich which was served on thick bread from a local bakery. Plenty of filling and served with chips and a small salad. For £6.50 it was extremely reasonble and very tasty. The seabass was cooked to perfection and restaurant standard. The tapas board was also very tasty with a nice selection of food. All the meals were very nicely cooked and great value for money.
We liked our mains so much we decided to share some puddings. We had the apple crumble and sticky toffee pudding. Both were absolutely delicious.
All in all it cost £42 for three mains, two puddings and three drinks. Very good value and great service! Looking forward to going back soon!
