The Guest House
Price range: US$7 - US$34
Description: We are a friendly traditional English pub serving good quality food and drinks in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our menu offers a good selection of home cooked food including vegetarian and gluten free. We regularly prepare specials in addition to our regular menu. Wherever possible we use fresh local ingredients and our food is always cooked to order. In the bar we serve a good range of cask and draught beers, Staropramen Premium Czech beer, Carling and Fosters Lager. We also pull Batemans XB and Gold and Doombar cask ales. Stowford Press Guinness and Worthingtons are available. There is a spacious car park, a pool table, darts and Sky Sports and BT Sports. Children are always welcome as are dogs in the bar area (not the restaurant).

Decided was going to book at table for mothers day to take my mum and nan for a nice meal. Excellent service, greeted with smiles and lovely lady showed us to our table. My nan and mum both had lamb shank and they said was so tender and the meal was fantastic, they will defo return. We had two children with us and they ate most of their meal and had room for pudding, which were excellent home made. Defo made our mothers day a special one. Thank you so much.

Yet again another brilliant meal. 3 beefs that even the picky kids ate and a quiet sausage. Highly recommend

Lovely pub, been a few times and have got to know all the locals who are always really polite and a pleasure to be around.
Food was delicious, all four meals were amazing couldn’t fault it and had to have a pudding just because it was all so lovely. Can go in with family, friends or even in your lonesome.
Will continue to go into the guest house!

Food was average and the afternoon went quite well until we entered the main bar and enjoyed a drink to be confronted by a bunch of thugs who decided to turn to violence to spoil my dad’s wake. I have heard through quite a few people that this public house that was once respected in this lovely quiet village has now turned into a public local house for people taking drugs. So if your after a quiet meal or just a quiet drink then I would suggest the red lion, the bell, the fleece or the white hart.

Went for Christmas Menu on 7/12/18. There were 20 of us. All of the food from start to finish was of a superb quality. I had the pate and it divine, the beef rib fell off the bone, literally and the cheese selection was good. My wife had prawn cocktail, turkey and chocolate brownie. All. Of which looked fantastic and left neither of us hungry. Well worth £19.95 for three courses. Excellent job and excellent atmosphere!
