After searching for somewhere near to Skegness to camp we booked up for a couple of nights here. It was only our second family camping trip so we only had one other site to compare it to, so on arrival from the road it just looked like a field with minimal facilities. But on booking in the staff were really friendly, codes for the family bathroom were given to us, and we got to select our own pitch from all the free spaces. This was great for us as with a toddler and a baby we were able to get a pitch quite close to our car and the toilet facilities.
It had been rather wet weather but the grass was mown and any areas where the pathways/roads had become a bit muddy, chippings and straw had been put down to still allow a car to drive to the pitch to drop off the tent and belongings, but a request to then return the car to the car-park was in place on signs to reduce these areas getting any worse.
The bathrooms were very clean and had all that you could need. In the family bathroom there were facilities for baby changing, an eco shower, seating, a toilet and a basin with a mirror. Mops and brushes were also there to clean up and leave tidy for the next users. This and the main toilets were locked from around 10pm and port-a-loos were available.
The site is quite near a main road so there was road noise through the night, but this didn't affect our stay in the slightest.
Each camping pitch had a firepit which it was possible to by wood for from the site.
We will definitely be returning to this campsite again, and might even convince our not so camping friendly family to join us in one of the glamping pods :)
