We stayed 20/7 to 24/7,with my partner and disabled mother, arrived to a very warm welcome from the owner who showed us round the bungalow.
Tea,coffee, sugar, biscuits and milk in the fridge. Biscuit the cat was also waiting on the doormat, lovely bungalow, very well equipped for disabled people, all on one level apart from the sun room that leads to the patio area which is accessible round the side of the house through a gate, hand rails dotted round where needed, recliner chair and large wet room with seat in shower, and bath, separate toilet and sink, all clean and nicely decorated,TV in each bedroom, large TV in the living room and DVD player, plenty of books to read on shelves, dominos and playing cards.
Everything is electric, wasn't a problem for us,electric on a meter,we used oven/hob everyday,TV and lights,we only had the fire on one night, and used just under £10 which you leave on top over meter.
The sun rises on a morning at the rear of the bungalow and warms the house all day. If you are wanting total peace and quiet and away from everything, this is the place, car definitely needed.
Biscuit the cat was always waiting for us when we got back, she likes nothing more than snuggling up with you on the sofa on a night.will definitely return, and would highly recommend.

My wife, eight month old and dog had the pleasure of staying at Field View for the weekend and were met on arrival by Andrew, who couldn't do enough for us! The bungalow was great and just as advertised. We will definitely stay again!

“Ideal for people with limited mobility”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This bungalow is a hidden gem.

My mum and me needed a little break; my mum has mobility problems and it was important to find the right accommodation that would allow her to be as independent as possible. The bungalow was perfect for her requirements, the rise and recline chair and the enabled wet-room allowed mum to be self-sufficient in her personal needs. This being said, the property would appeal to people without disabilities too.

There were many extra little touches to the bungalow, which made it a home from home rather than a sterile holiday let, there were books and games and even a piano as well as the TV’s and DVD player. It would be no task to “stay in” should the weather be cold or wet. I feel this property would be ideal for a variety of people. The owner lives very close by and is on hand, if required, however we felt that our privacy was well respected and that he left us to our own devices, although we were made to feel very welcome.

A car is essential however the location is a perfect base to explore a variety of locations in the surrounding area. There are many reasons to be delighted with this property, especially the perfect little cat, Biscuit.

“Peaceful location, well priced”

Very peaceful location with all you would need for a break. Close to local towns but a car is essential as there is no public transport. Owner is very friendly and helpful, and the accommodation is exactly as described; even sachets of tea/coffee/sugar and a bottle of milk in the fridge on arrival - a nice touch.
We would have preferred a grassed enclosure for our 2 dogs rather than a yard area but not a real problem as there are plenty of grassed areas accessible from the front door.

Would recommend and will return.

“Field view hol break”
Reviewed 31 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed here for 4 nights with two young children- it was perfect, comfy beds, lots of space, ponies and cows to see- friendly owner and a cute ginger 4 legged visitor " Biscuit the cat"- the children loved the animals- bungalow has plenty of choice for eating areas..... Kitchen or sunroom or dining room or outside on a picnic bench watching the cows.
Nice clean home from home. Well equipped kitchen for eating in- attention to detail is great ie child lock on household cleaning products cupboard, use of cot and highchair if needed- the children had lots of fun ( and so did dad) on the piano!!
Great welcome from owner and was supplied with milk, tea and coffee and biscuits--- lovely touch!
Overall great family place
