Visited here on our last day and are so glad we took the time. The underground battle experience brings a lot of this to life for the kids. The historical building and grounds also contribute to the experience. Don't miss!

Over the years I visited quite some musea, and Hartenstein as it is called, rates among the best.
In a very easy to follow build up, the story is explained clearly and illustrated with many personal stories.
After learning the story this way, the highlight of the visit is in the basement.
A very gripping walk through the "Airborne Experience".
A great visit for all, adults and children alike.

Fantastic is not enough praise for this museum, the stories told, the artifacts, the battle recreations are astounding, I was almost moved to tears listening to some of the stories. A bridge too far is the right phrase. I'd heard of Arnhem before but never released what an important part of world war 2 this story was. So near so far. Get to this as soon as you can well worth the trip. The surrounding area is lovely too so plenty to do. Allow a full day to see it all properly.
