Third time in Tokyo, First time to be in Shangri-La Hotel, First time to spend it with friends! This travel privilege is the best birthday present ever. I will always love Shangri-La hotels and Shangri-La Tokyo is no exemption. The pool is my friends and my favorite because of its overlooking view of the city. As expected, the food was divine and the service was just exquisite. I love how everything is standardized from one place to another. When you’re with Shangri-La, you’ll have your satisfaction guaranteed. We crashed in 2 rooms and we spent more time sleeping and saying in the hotel than going out and about shopping. Definitely the best travel tour this year. I recommend Shangri-La to all travel and comfort buffs.

This is an excellent hotel with fabulous service. We had 2 rooms here from 10-14 Dec, 2013. The swimmming pool was excellent, especially for serious swimmers who are trying to keep up their fitness and water feeling while on holiday. They have even cordoned off a lane for laps, something my daughters, who swim competitvely, appreciated very much. The gym was well equipped. Most of all, every service staff displayed excellent levels of attentiveness and responsiveness. We appreciated that all had excellent command of English. The rooms are very spacious, something to be treasured in land-scarce Tokyo. Needless to say, the location next to Tokyo Station makes it super convenient for almost any traveller's needs.

As a frequent business traveller, I regularly experience 5 star hotels throughout Australia/Asia/pacific/USA. On this occasion I spent a single night at the Shangri-La Tokyo with my family - returning from a ski trip. I would rate it the best hotel I have ever experienced in both service and appointments. Great location also, being adjacent to Tokyo central station.

Shangri-La was supurb in all respects. From meeting us at the train to guide us to the hotel, to an excellent health club and pool. Service was unbelievable. They spoiled us...... They also allowed us a wheelchair for the three days we were there.

Room Tip: Great views....

This is a really beautiful hotel and the staff here are incredible. They are so gracious - I suspect they are all hand picked - because each and every staff member here - not only provide the best service to their ability but they also show initiative and genuine warmth. Not stuffy at all - as I anticipated. Instead - friendly. How pleasant.

The hotel is literally dripping in contemporary art works - its amazing really - even the elevators!

The breakfast is scrumptious - it really knocks the socks off any other hotel breakfast I've ever experienced. The special selection choices - were outstanding.

The only only criticism is the allowance of smoking in public areas. Its really not a good idea in these modern times when health issues should require better policy direction. However loved the signature fragrance upon entry to the hotel.
