I've not been inside this building but it is easy to visit and take a photo from outside. It is next to quite a wide and busy road so becareful about crossing. There is little else to see nearby but it is right next to a station on the yurakucho line which makes it easy to just pop up for a photo if you are interested in japanese politics. Nearby is the supreme court which you used to be able to book appointments to visit and watch... which is a strange experience. On the otherside, it is not to far away from the Tokyo high court which you can visit any time and watch trials... which can be more interesting than the supreme court. You can check a list of different trials and choose which one to sit in on provided it is not too busy.

Quite a walk from the underground station but a very large and imposing building. You can go up 45 floors in about 20 seconds and on a clear day can see Mount Fuji their is a English speaking guide if you would like and she takes you around. A nice cafe at the top souvenir shop overall well worth a visit.

We decided to give the tour a shot. There were no problems even though we arrived 10 minutes before the next scheduled tour. The only issue was that the tour was in Japanese. Nevertheless, it was impressive to see the inside of the building. My 12 year old was a bit bored at times since the tour was close to an hour...but impressed by the emperor's chair.

This government building is located in an interesting area of many other government buildings and it is a short walk from the palace area.. Unless you are in the area, or have particular interest in this kind of construction, I will not make a special visit to it.
