Booked after reading TA reviews and was even better than expected. Well located for all Tokyo sights via train/tube and minutes from the station. No traffic noise, plenty of eats around and handy shop 2 doors away. Room for 2 was a good size and well furnished. Good value and will return.

Hotel Niwa is pretty good. Comfortable in every way, very quiet and clean. Our room is with 2 single beds, and it's quite big from our experiences staying many Japan hotels. The mattress is so comfortable that make you sleep like a baby. Spacey bathroom and big tub, which you can relax totally bathed in hot water.
The massage chair is also a surprise! To ease our sore legs after everyday's long time shopping! Good location, 5-mins walk to Suidobashi Station and you can get to anywhere. Will definitely come back to Niwa!

Room Tip: Check if there is special offer before you book it. Good rate will come up occasionally.

Hotel Niwa is very clean, with an excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.

The rooms are kind of small, but clean and quiet. The hotel says it has a fitness center, but it's very minimal, so if that's important to you, you'll probably be disappointed, Also, the hotel is very close to the Suidobashi train station, but that station only has 2 lines 1 so it's not the most convenient location in that respect.

Overall a very good hotel.

Dear Mike SF,

Thank you for taking the time to write your comments. Hotel Niwa Tokyo is conveniently located near the rail station, and centre of the city. It takes only 5 minutes from the nearest station Suidobashi, tnen you can access to Shinjyuku(where is the center of Tokyo) by Japan Rail.
The Hotel is also surrounded by plenty of restaurants and shops so that you do not really have to go so far away from the hotel.
Once again, thank you for your feedback, and we hope you will be back to us in near future.

My husband had a work obligation in Tokyo for a few days, and was set up in a fancier and more expensive place in the city for those days. We decide to make a week of it, and save money by staying in a more affordable hotel for the days his work was not paying. I chose Hotel Niwa Tokyo due to the high reviews and price point. Since I had never been to Japan before I wasn't sure what to expect. I mentioned the location to a friend who had lived in the area and he said "it wasn't in the thick of things", which worried me. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised. We took the airport shuttle to Tokyo Domo from Narita, and took a cab from the Tokyo Dome Hotel to Hotel Niwa. We could have easily walked if not for our luggage. The hotel lobby was beautiful and modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a standard double room. If they had upgrades available we would have gone for it, but they were fullybooked. Yes, the room was compact, but very clean, functional and modern. It was plently of room for us as we don't stay in the room other than sleeping. The bathroom was large and included great amenities. The hotel is very conveniently located to several metro/JR stations. There is no where you can't get to from here. Study the metro and JR maps before you go and get a Suica card. Very convenient. After a long day of sightseeing, we looked forward to coming back to Hotel Niwa and relaxing in the massage chairs. After a few days we transferred to an unnamed hotel that was twice the price of Hotel Niwa closer to town (for my husband's work). We both immediately wished we were back at Niwa. Our backs were sore in the new beds at this so-called 5-star resort. We wanted the bed at Niwa back! If you are skeptical about the location size, don't be. I highly recommend.
