“can't find anything more reasonable than this in Tokyo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 April 2013

was here on a business trip, 3 nights with a few colleagues so expensive hotel is out of the question. The hotel is very clean and tidy, with free breakfast which didn't have much variety. nearby convenient stores and close to the Akihabara JR station. Very quiet neighborhood. Free internet is also a plus. For a trip that is mostly outside, this is a very good choice. Nothing fancy but well equipped. Do bring your own adaptors because they don't lend out anything.

Room Tip: don't offer much space for luggage, better to empty them and let the front desk keep it for your...

I was booked into this hotel for a business trip, and it was adequate for that purpose, but I can't say I'd ever choose it again. Its main positives are that it's relatively inexpensive for central Tokyo and is a few-minute walk from Akihabara station. However, the rooms are tiny--and yes, tiny rooms are part of the Tokyo accommodation experience, but these were small to the point where a full-size suitcase poses a challenge, and if you're on the taller side you'll have to duck down in the shower. The furnishings are functional but cheerless, and you'll become well-acquainted with the hall because waiting for one of the two elevators servicing the entire building means you'll spend some quality time there. And proximity to the station means proximity to the train tracks: I felt like was in the Blues Brothers' flat until the trains stopped running for the night.

Great location just 3 mins away from jr station. The room are very new and clean. Free breakfast is better than expected. A lot of variety to choose in both western and Japanese style. Good value of money.

Stayed for one night only in spring 2011 when the hotel was brand new.
Very pleasant, basic business hotel.
+Rooms were clean and quiet.
+Breakfast was not impressive but suitable.
+Staff was friendly and we got english speaking service.
+Location was also near the JR Akihabara station.

This is a relatively new hotel in the very convenient Akihabara town within a stone's throw away from JR, TX, and Tokyo Metro stations. I had nothing to complain until the second day, when the cleaning staffs tried to enter my room without reading the don't disturb sign and bothering to knock or apologize afterwards. A similar event took on the next day. As I was sick from cold (the building outside the rooms had no heating, and that didn't help) and had to rest before an appointment, I was a bit annoyed. Also, finding a string of hair in the bathroom near the window did not impress me very much.
Thanks to a young staff at the reception who was apparently Chinese (to help the customers from China, no doubt), I received pills which seemed to have been intended for staffs. I am grateful, but considering that most business hotels that I have stayed in previously had reserve medicaments for guests, I was a bit disappointed by his female supervisor questioning sharply whether he knew that the pills were meant for he staffs. I think any people in the hotel services would praise the act of the Chinese staff and think badly of his female supervisor (at least she could have scolded him after I left the elevator hall).
I think it is a bit pity, as this could have been a very good hotel with its location, it's views, and room design. I hope JR West review the similar critical comments on general management of the hotel, without ever punishing the young Chinese staff who did what he felt was good or us Japanese female supervisor who was probably following the unkind rules of the hotel chain. People making critical claims are not people who hates this hotel; they were a bit disappointed because the hotel did not live up to the expectations.
