My family and I stayed in this hotel for 6 days and for 6 days, we found this hotel to be quite excellent. Breakfast was great although the queues in the morning was somewhat irritating. Wifi was really fast. The hotel was well placed in the pricey Ginza area with a lot of very good Japanese restaurants around. It was also a 5-minute walk to two train stations (Ginza and Hibiya stations). We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a solid 5-star option in Tokyo that is well located in the Ginza area and still has a touch of Japanese tradition while effortlessly serving all nationalities. Rooms are great, especially in the older front section of the hotel. The restaurants in the complex under the ground are also good. I have also stayed at Western chain hotels but find this gives a nicer sense of where you are while retaining all the comforts.

Brilliant staff, great location. Restaurants overpriced and were disappointing but plenty of nearby alternatives that were fantastic. Rooms were quiet with comfy beds and solid conservative features. Loved the Imperial Bar for their elegant cocktails and great selection of whiskies. Wonderful concierge who was so helpful with bookings and follow up.

The Imperial tells guests that if they have forgotten their running gear the hotel can help out. This guest discovered half an hour before a planned early morning run with a highly distinguished guest around the imperial palace that the all-important shorts had been left at home. But a call to the concierge produced a knock on the door and a choice of outfits within 10 minutes. Very impressive!

Other aspects of the hotel remained as impressive as a previous visit three years earlier, especially the fantastic buffet breakfast with spectacular views over Tokyo.

I was impressed by the staff and attention to detail but was badly let down by poor quality of the gymnasium which was not purpose built, crowded into an old suite and had minimal equipment. The hotel had the gall to charge for this service. I don't know of another 5 star hotel that would do this.
